I'm more concerned with what our descendents are going to think.

If she's not a complete idiot, she probably already has more retirement savings than the average gen-xer. Assuming the pyramid scheme that is our stock market keeps growing, she might have already saved all she needs to. If the bubble collapses, she will just be living in a mad max apocalypse with the rest of us.

Down payment on a bribe.

They are done by medical professionals who have no obligation or incentive to serve the best interests of the patient. If your doctor fucks up, he can be found liable. If the insurance doctor fucks up, there is no liability whatsoever. Cases have been brought to court and then immediately thrown out because there is no legal basis for holding them accountable.

Focusing on these people was an unhealthy obsession, and most of the attempts to reach them were needlessly adversarial to the point of being toxic and hardening their resolve to not vote for Harris. Gaza was a losing issue for Harris and this attention just kept it front and center. Sad to see the obsession continue.

Anyways, this is not why Harris lost. It was a landslide and Trump won the popular vote by a huge margin. Americans don't vote in large numbers on foreign policy - not unless Americans are getting killed. Kamala lost because she kept telling struggling families that the economy is great.

Everything but Biden.

Do a poll asking Americans their political alignment and the balance will be center right. Poll them again on specific issues and the average end up well to the left of the Democratic party. For a prime example, look at how all the abortion referendums have turned out in red states.

There is no dropoff of EV purchases, just Teslas, and just barely. One contributor to that is that there is a wait-list. A bigger contributor is that being associated with Elon isn't as cool as it once was.

I'm not a tankie, and it's not a good thing, but this isn't exactly a great time for the US to puff it's chest out about our right to protest and protections for whistle blowers.

For all the carnage that's happened and all the carnage that's about to happen, we need to (rhetorically) beat the neoliberals over the head for the 2020 primary. I don't know if Bernie could have stopped any of this, but at least our hands would be clean. Fuck the notion that neoliberals are somehow "good enough". They throw us a bone from time to time, but ultimately the only thing they are capable of generating in the long term is absolute disaster.

This is an extremely common trope from establishment Democrats who like to pretend the left is just naive children. Let me make this perfectly clear to you. Yes, we get politics. Yes, we understand that Biden can't get everything he wants. Yes, we get that Republican obstruction is a thing.

Now, here are some things for you to try and grasp. Most of the time, Biden and the Democratic establishment is leading the opposition against the left. The establishment also plays dirty to get their unpopular candidates past the primary, then blames the left when they lose in the general.

It's not generally the politically active left that doesn't vote blue. Most of us are well practiced at holding our noses at the ballot box. It's normal non-political Americans who see no point in getting engaged when neither party even speaks to their problems.
