totally agree that parents need a break and a good drink. hell it is exhausting. but please avoid just putting them Infront of a screen. get the grandparents to look after them, let them sleep over at a friend's house, organise a nanny. as a society we are already too often starring at screens.

that mentality is probably what most ppl started with. however, youtube burnt quite a lot of bridges. i would assume, that many ppl, just like me, wont do the 3 clicks to disable adblock for youtube.

It takes 20 years to build a reputation and five minutes to ruin it. If you think about that, you’ll do things differently.

To me the problem is that you wouldn't be able to buy a car anonymously anymore, while it leaves the really rich pretty much untouched.

Art is a well known angle for money laundering or giving someone a huge sum of money pretty much without any regulation. Contracts for construction or even consulting are another way.

I don't have access to this kind of playground - chances are, you neither. But the people supposedly targeted by this kind of law (corrupt politicians, organised crime, ...), do have access to these things and are therefore not impacted.

Considering that i have a free account registered to a 10 min mail and paying customers don't seem to have that problem... It might be some kind of protection against manipulating the charts aswell.

linux is for sure the superior choice. still can't understand why many public transport companies buy windows licenses to display simple departure times. some of them even seem to run separate machines for panels always displaying the same info...

While Nazi-Germany was infamous for 'euthananizing' disabled people, it is sadly not a principle reserved for the right extreme.

Luckily most don't go as far as right out killing the weak. But sadly there is almost always a splinter group in any political or ideological orientation that shows contempt for the weak.

They never said, that they are annoyied by other ppl liking/posting it. They don't like it, so they block it in order to not see things they don't enjoy.

Thats how the internet works. Roughly 95% on the internet is not your cup of tea - learn how to find your 5%.

Dude, take it as a learning experience. You can't tell a troll to stop - so best don't engage.

I had to learn the same thing many years ago: I asked for an option to exit-on-close for steam. Some trolls didn't like the idea of a more customisable software and i foolishly argued my point. AFAIK this option still does not exist. Maybe the devs never saw that forum thread bc there was too much bs.

Exactly this. Bonus points: this time privacy is more convenient than the native apps.

IMO the constitution is that important to Americans, because they don't really have tradition or culture to draw from. The USA is a very young country. Yes I know that technically modern day Germany, Italy and others are younger. However, those countries have many centuries of tradition and culture to draw from.

Pretty much every country has some form of 'the highest law', which is intentionally kept rather abstract. Afterall it is the framework for more specific laws to fill in and regulate daily life. But an identity and feeling of self for the USA pretty much started with the civil war. Which lead to the writing of the constitution, their 'highest law'. The constitution is part of the creation mythos for the USA. A marking point of when people start to think of themselves as Americans, a sovereign entity. Since the USA, compared to other countries, doesn't have much more culture to draw from, the relative importance of that one piece is inevitably higher.
