Cut up tortillas, fry them with some salt, when crispy crack two or three eggs in there and scramble. I grew up eating it and while it is delicious I don't think I would serve it to guests.

Hello fellow non life goal setter! Having that life goal mentality fucked me up for years, went to therapy and learned to live in the present while trying not to obsess about the future. So now little things are what keeps me going: Getting to yoga class, fixing a nice plate of food if I feel like it, petting my dogs, crocheting so I feel thr burden of the stuff that has to get done a little less.

Aways come down to their height level when you talk to them so you can show them and read their facial non verbal language, you want to be on their same eye level but not on their face. Don't stare or make too intense eye contact.

Pick a topic and see how much enthusiasm the kid shows, that can be a useful clue to see if you re going the right way with your interaction. Take into account that some kids (and some adults too!) don't like interacting at all and that is also fine.

Some popular ones are: Dinosaurs, pets, tv shows/videogames, favorite color, favorite ice cream flavor, favorite song, favorite book.

Hope this helps.

I grew up in many different places learning different languages meeting lots of people, (think army brat) and that fucked me up royally. Always being the New kid at school made me an easy target for bullying. Since I was moved around so much as a kid and had to interact with tons of different people one could assume I am a social butterfly.I am not.

What I am trying to say is that there is no normal, we are all quirky and unique with different sets of circumnstances and tragically that makes us all the same. Hang on! You will find a way.

I live now in an ultraconservative religious place (no choice) as an atheist but managed to find three friends and a spouse in the time I have been here.

Depends on my relationship with them.

If they are not my close friends or family, something generic like wine, nice tea, chocolate, baby plant is fine.

If they are close to me, I love giving them something I know they can use for their favorite activity or hobbie but never related to their job or school. For example I would not gift my kid something for school, that is a need and not an actual gift.

The vet that saved my dog's life. He did a great job rehabilitating her from terrible abuse and neglect related injuries when we rescued her. He gave me a hefty discount and everytime I took her back in later years, he refused to charge me for the visit.

Some foods should not be touching other foods but I can't use one of those cafeteria trays because the texture makes me gag.

My solution to it is using glass or ceramic plates and bowls for each item. There are exceptions of course.

Silverware is another thing altogether.

Whenever I come across a person in one of those driving school vehicles, I take my time to be extra nice to them and helping them a bit in a way.

Stopped smoking cold turkey and it was hard as f*ck. Thirteen years ago and haven't picked it back up yet.

Taking a class right now about fiber arts combined with action/movement arts by a performance artist. I am only two classes in but it has been so much fun! As a plus, most of my classmates are little old ladies who thought it was an ordinary embroidery class lol so that adds to the amusement.
