You can of course remedy the risk of corruption by making several compressed files instead of just one. Then you will lose only part of the data in the worst case scenario.

This needs to be fixed. For example by adding a random waiting time before making the request.

It might not explode!

This is a ridiculous article. In practical terms, our current government has been slashing as much climate work as it has been able to do.

And Petteri Orpo is anyway a person who never makes any decisions. He always yields to all other ministers in all matters. Funny seeing the photo of him as if he was a person of power. He's very purely a figurehead only.

Uh, what? I have only ever used instances that block Hexbear, but I haven't felt that there's no good content. What would you describe I'm missing?

How about people driving those trucks that directly dump mixed waste into the ocean? That's a very common thing to do in South-East Asia. Plus, there are a zillion villages everywhere around there that dump all of their mixed waste into creeks going through them โ€“ to be brought "away". Into the oceans.

That's where almost half of all microplastic comes from. Then there's the other approximately half that comes from cars' tyres. And then a part of a percent that comes from drinking straws and such. Hooray.

Could the other galaxy please pull us just the correct distance away from the sun to cancel the effect of global warming?

It wouldn't look burnt.

I like GNOME because it's got everything I need and nothing else. I've got ADHD, so any distractions are really a problem.

With KDE I have the feeling that it's kind of "full". I have always been able to customize Gnome in whatever way I've needed, but that's less in-your-face than in KDE.
It's also a matter of what I've gotten used to. I started using desktop Linux with Redhat 5.2, and that came with Gnome. So, I got used to it, and KDE is different. And of course, KDE might have changed in the last 10-ish years, which, I think, is how long time ago I touched a KDE desktop at all.
But, since I'm happy with GNOME โ€“ and, this might sound scary โ€“ actually even happier with Unity that I'm using now, I don't really have any need to venture to try anything else.

It works for me and switching to something else would require at least some amount of effort.
I'm already being less active with my children than I would like to, so I don't like putting any effort into things that won't really bring something useful for me or others. I prefer spending that effort for being a better father :)
