Oh definitely. It wasn't that long ago there were some pretty hard times here. The older generation remembers.

My mother was a first grade teacher for 35 years. She'd tell stories about how the children of her past students were just like them when they were that age.

I just wish more people would talk about her music instead of her gender. I know she's bitter or dissatisfied about Switched on Bach, but I still listen to it regularly. There aren't many pieces of instrumental music that can actually make me laugh, but it does. Bach works on synth so well. Largely due to Carlos' efforts.

None! I live in Korea, and the local wildlife was long ago mostly displaced or eaten by the seething mass of humanity. Once upon a time, there were some cool bears and tigers even. There are some nice, big herons still around I suppose. Oh, some tiny deer, too.

As someone who does audio production as a hobby, and recently made an album using mostly Android, I can tell you that audio routing in Android is an absolute nightmare. Basically, Android (at least my Android devices) doesn't give you access to any settings at all, it just assumes that you use the default settings of whatever you happen to plug into it.

I had a problem where I'd plug in my DAC, and it would detect it and start using it, but it failed to work in the app I wanted it to work in. It took me something like two days to figure out I had to plug things in in a different order in order for them to work properly. Just infuriating, and something that would be simple to fix if they'd just give you some super simple audio routing options, but NOOO, they just have to assume that no one knows what they're doing and try to do everything for you.

The Lorax said, Sir! You are crazy with greed. There is no one on earth who would buy that fool Thneed! But the very next minute I proved he was wrong. For, just at that minute, a chap came along, and he thought that the Thneed I had knitted was great. He happily bought it for three ninety-eight.

Korean "netizens" are brutal. This is barely scratching the surface of the madness. At least they haven't driven this celebrity to suicide. Yet.

I had a dream a few nights ago. I was a robot living in a society being taken over by this evil regime that was turning robots into humans. The leader of the regime lured me to the location where they were going to make me human. When he was dramatically revealed from behind the curtain - a split second after I realized I'd been tricked - he started towards me, and I kicked him in the junk as hard as I could!

Which was when I woke myself and my wife up because I'd kicked the shit out of the wall next to the bed. My big toe still hurts.

Yeah, by shooting themselves twice in the back of the head.

Those crazy journalists.

In my hometown, we had "Mr. Noshirt". He'd walk everywhere in any weather either without a shirt on, or with a flimsy dress shirt unbuttoned the whole way. In Canada, so it got cold. Rumors were "couldn't feel cold" or the more likely "mental health problems."

I've been meaning to start it for years now, but I'm actually kind of intimidated by it at this point.

This is no different than an old man ranting that music was better in his day.
