On the off chance that you're actually open to hearing any kind of criticism, sure:

  1. You made a post on a small forum about an objectively obscure topic, seemingly with the expectation that people would understand an acronym for that obscure topic.
  2. Numerous comments essentially asked "what the fuck does that even mean?"
  3. When faced with an opportunity to introduce more people to this obscure topic with some modicum of grace, you instead made what appeared to be a sarcastic, disparaging comment that people should obviously just know what you're talking about.
  4. When called out for #3, you decided that everyone in this thread clearly hated the obscure topic that none of them had even heard of, rather than realizing that people reacted poorly to your poorly disguised arrogance and pretentious comments.

I'm 6'2", wouldn't refer to it as a casual snack. When I hear casual snack, I'm thinking like an orange or a protein bar or something, not a whole-ass burger. Yeah, it's not massive, but not a small snack either

Thanks! I painted them when we moved in at my wife's request.

4 or 5 of my planes are from eBay, the other 3 are from Facebook. Definitely not a 20 minute job, but under 2-2.5 hours each, and I rather enjoy the process of restoring tools. I get that it's easier, and no shame in spending some more money on nice tools you don't have to sink time into

Personally, I'd buy a used planer and a jointer before dropping close to $500 for a hand plane.

I second this. BS Mechanical Engineering at a military college better part of a decade ago. Having a checklist removes the mental load of sitting down and going "fuck what do I have to do?" and then remembering something two hours in that's due in 20 minutes.

Eh, fair point. That said, I use a spreadsheet for fitness, so I might be a bit biased.

The Launch Sequence. Star Citizen focused podcast, pretty interesting

I've heard great things about Veritas, but man they're pricey for a hand tool
