There we go! I had to enable port forwarding (didn't know that was required). Thank you.
you can tell the VPN what you want to include/exclude:
Exclude mode: Selected apps and IP addresses are excluded from VPN connection, Include mode: Only selected apps and IP addresses connect via VPN, all other traffic is unprotected.
I had to enable port fowarding, thank you.
What do you mean? Is that not correct? Is it where I have to choose between one or the other?
Yeah that does seem a bit complicated, or at least confusing to me - I'm not sure what you mean by container.
oh okay, thank you. For some reason, I didn't realize binding the torrent was effectively the same as a kill switch (or at least in terms of protecting my ip)
Honestly, I'm not really sure - I am using Proton VPN and qbittorrent.
I meant that if I was unable to figure out a solution, at least I would be able to transfer it to a VM (which apparently Windows Sandbox isnt really)
Oh wow, I didn't realize it isn't a VM.. Thank you for the in depth response.
Thank you. Do you mean even with ProtonVPN it is hard to configure?
I haven't purchased the VPN yet, and I've only downloaded and ran the qbittorrent setup file. (then that window appeared (image above). The VM should be set up correctly (all I had to do is just enable the feature - Windows Sandbox).
Thank you for the advice. Get them separate just because of how few I am looking to get? I feel like there might be more setup required if I get them separately.
I also don't know if getting them separate would cause me to get redundant installers/managers/rules+patches each trying to apply the same patches.
