the idea that Israel was 'waiting for Trump' is ridiculous

I disagree; Netanyahu wants to settle the rest of Palestine, and Trump's actions demonstrate that he is far and away more in favor of that than Biden or Harris ever were or would have been if re-elected themselves.

Regardless of whether we agree or not, the point of my post here was to emphasize that disagreement should not in and of itself be the basis for a moderator to ban someone from a community.

Stremio comes with a few addons for content navigation by default, but to actually watch most things within Stremio itself, the unofficial Torrentio addon is needed. There's other content addons too, but Torrentio seems to work the best.

Torrentio itself needs a debrid service API key to function, with Real-Debrid being the cheapest at about $3 a month.

Black Flag was the first one I played. As a result I then played Rogue and 3, then tried 2, which seemed mechanically a bit outdated (might try it again; just wish its health UI were more like Black Flag's), so played Unity instead. Still have to try Syndicate, which seems to still be mechanically similar enough to the original formula to be interesting.

Played Origins past the first boss fight, but stopped since it no longer felt like an Assassin's Creed game. Odyssey and Valhalla appear to replicate the Origins formula, so skipped them altogether. Might try Mirage at some point, given its lack of the RPG mechanics of the prior three games, but probably won't get Shadows due to it seemingly returning in part to the RPG formula.

Pokémon Pinball: Ruby and Sapphire; unironically more addictive than the mainline Pokémon games.

The problem is that anything less than unwavering support for Israel would be spun by well-funded propagandists as left-wing at best and antisemitic at worst. Regardless of how unjustified those claims are, and how detrimental they are to the wellbeing of oppressed Palestinians, a switch in foreign policy tactics now just for Netanyahu to wait for Trump to be elected is not worth it, as any short term benefits for the Palestinians would be undone tenfold should Trump be elected. Beyond that, a similar or worse fate would await Ukraine should that occur, so it's ultimately better to wait until the election is over to consider major policy changes.

Sometimes I've noticed that a seller will repurpose the product page for a previously seemingly legitimate product with good reviews to sell something entirely unrelated while benefiting from the positive reviews of the prior product.

The Turkish government's the one with all the cards; if it were at all interested in the rights of its ethnic minorities, it would recognize the Armenian genocide and grant the Kurds their long sought independence.

Although a boycott effectively rendered the 2021 referendum on independence meaningless, referendums on the issue in 2018 and 2020 in contrast had over 80% turnout, voting against independence by 56% and 53% majorities. As voter registration for those referendums excluded residents who had moved to the island after 1994, the issue of independence among long-term residents is, at the very least, a divisive issue.

In any case, suppressing the voices of those promoting independence, aside from being clearly undemocratic, will only worsen France's optics among New Caledonians. If the French government wants to convince locals that staying part of France is the best outcome for them, it needs to invest in the island's tourism and service industries to ensure its residents, particularly the disproportionately lower-income Kanaks, have an economy that will outlast the limited nickel deposits of New Caledonia.

Private torrent trackers, usenet, and debrid services aside, qBittorrent + Jackett lets you search multiple public torrent trackers at a time, helpful for when one indexer has a release missing from another.

Message boards like that have dedicated userbases for their subject matter though, something that is missing on Lemmy for most subject matters. Since I'd like to be on Lemmy for more than just, for my interests at least, a piracy message board, more users are needed to build interest in communities that weren't promoted by a subreddit.
