This post showed up below a post showing a statistic of Lemmy losing users. Ironic.

????? I must be drunk. What is hateful about history and cultural studies? Asking as an undergrad of said studies, including African American Studies.

i was flabbergasted to see titty and (various) dodongos on my character just like that. it's rad as fuck! I've spent the past 2 hours pretty much just reading flavor text. 100% worth the asking price, especially since it runs perfectly on my potato pc on ultra.

when I was that age, I didn't even have a favorite news source. I just didn't care about news at all, only video games. of course I wouldn't look for "cool" stuff in the newspapers, even then.

I expect some sort of ring, yes. Diamond though? please no! i prefer zirconia or black materials, even getting a tattoo sounds more intriguing. i told my partner that even a ring made of bubble gum wrapper would do. in terms of jewelry i own zirconia and nobody bats an eye, so why would i care either.

and yes, I've dated expensive, received expensive and bought expensive in the past. for my skin tone, mossanite and rose gold are far superior to diamonds and gold jewelry. it's about being flattering after all.

I buy my body jewelry, earrings etc on AliExpress. Also buying Zirconia jewelry and gold plated works very well since there are hardly any premium charges. it's also pretty much the only area of goods I've found where in 98,9% of the cases the product and materials used is exactly as advertised, meaning no oxidizing, radiation and magnet friendly, etc.

case in point: I've noticed nobody's talking about motivational posters.
