i cannot possibly justify kernel level anticheat. cheating in games is just not that serious, sorry. there are much smarter ways to tackle that and i certainly don't have evidence for this by any means but i've always assumed that kernel level anticheat is just spyware being justified by saying it's to stop cheating in multiplayer games. insane to me that people are willing to play games w it.
just like the gaming industry telling you 60fps is too low and your GTX series graphics card is inadequate today. but despite this i, amazingly, get by just fine. it's literally just blatant consumerism.
that's quite a low bar.
They said the same thing about Hitler, he still managed to genocide millions. But far be it from Western society to learn from the past, no we erase it and pretend it never happened.
meanwhile Palestinians are forced into begging online for the means of survival, the bare minimum, that they should already be getting and they're being labeled scammers. we are all complicit in this.
