and that attempting a revolution (which is a huge step up from bombing a few factories and assassinating a few CEOs) won’t go well if it’s not got broad popular support or police and military backing.

I don't know a single anarchist that has ever advocated for an organized revolution, i'm not sure why you're harping on that. Violent disruption of capitalist systems is the violence I'm talking about, and it requires far fewer people to pose that very real threat to liberal democracy than it does for "complete participation" in the democratic process (wtf does this even mean if not voting? if democracy fails if even a single person doesn't 'participate' then democracy itself is a failed concept). When the democratic system fails to produce representation for working-class interests, it is the only form of participation left.

The liberals here who keep saying shit like "well if everyone voted we wouldn't be in this situation" have completely missed the point. If the opposition party had offered any real representation of working class interests to begin with then you wouldn't have had to be here in the replies defending them at all.

It's fine, though. As always, civil activists will drag the democratic party kicking and screaming toward progress, regardless of the constant whinging from liberals.

Sure, but that wouldn't have changed when hexbear re-federated.

What you see now as far as their downvote activity on lemmy is what it has always been since the reddit migration, even before. At least I see no reason why it would have changed due to their defed/refed activity

I'm all for shitting on hxbr but that instance literally cannot use the downvote function. It's more likely that hexbear-related whining is just more unpopular on the non-tankie instances than you think.

It's got an inbox and a spam folder and I use the client to subscribe to RSS feeds. Email and lemmy have more in common than they have differences.

You're using an open source platform bud, you have complete control over your 'algorithmic' feed. People just seem to want control over other people's feeds, too.

Makes as much sense as "I tried email, but it seems to be just Tankies who use it"

And we don't usually get to see the receipts, but this time we do.

It's one thing to make mention of or recommend another community, it's another to spend your time flooding their threads with it repeatedly, even when asked to stop. What starts as impassioned advocacy can quickly turn into harassment and spam, and I think you crossed that line.

It should be evident just in the way you wrote an entire wiki article in this post - they were right to temporarily remove you from this conversation. If you only go there to dissolve their community, they have every right to kick you out of it.

No, you should find a community that's a better fit for you

You respect it but you don't think it's real?

You're splitting hairs man. At the very least it should not make you this upset.
