To expand a little bit to your comparison, keep in mind that giving such root access and actually putting it to X or Y use are two different scenarios. That's probably why LoL anti-cheat doesn't work on Linux even if you were to run it as root. But, again, I'm quite ignorant on that technology too. Needles to say, there are games with anti-cheat technology that work on Linux (e.g. Steam VAC)

I couldn't find 1 mention to a community, or a project. So much text in the web or the PDFs for what? I'd have loved to see anything, like a device to measure contamination in water. Anyway, I guess that's how it is with blind science powered by savior complex. Sorry to be flaming this post, it angries me. Can anyone mention one such example of enriching or addressed needs for a community?

Do you work? Or, do you have any hobbies? Any activities AFK and/ or putting you in relation to other people might stop the isolation downward spiral... Force yourself, it can be anything, start with few hours per week. Life won't change for you if you never leave your room. Of course, you can still spend some time there as you wish with any entertainment. Good luck.

Oh. If you have systemd, you have udev. Then, you want to do the opposite to https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Udev#Waking_from_suspend_with_USB_device (see last block in the section, tells you to add that content to the rule 50-*, switches to "enabled" simply put "disabled" instead). Sorry for linking to advanced docs. Hope you can make it and it really work out! Another option would be trying to install powertop, it has many switches but it's graphical and iirc had something to turn USB off... This approach would be more of a last resort, it's a bit of a hack to address your needs. Dunno if it would really work..!

Aren't premiunize and realdebrid mentioned in the wiki? I heard of them so many times... Never used them tho. They should work with VPN, or so I thought. And you can pay with paysafecard to be safe about scammers.

True, but.. First, they get way less data because most JavaScript was cleared out and that cuts tracking by 95% (just to put some figure). Secondly, the idea with those frontend is to have some control (e.g. recommendation algorithm is cleared, or you get to access content without an account, etc.) so, overall there are advantages. Of course, it's a compromise situation.

Sending emails is too old, and requires a full online app to send you the reminder. Only google or other big corps support this because a bounced email is retried many hours later... Heck, just the sending might suppose delays. The current calendar solutions give push notifications to clients (e.g. PC or phone)

Can't you bypass the peerturbe limitation by having everything inside a wireguard VPN? There are some wireguard UIs that may come in handy to set things up..

I disagree with what you're implying. FYI, I'm a migrant in Germany, follow dach@feddit.de to practice the language and it's my understanding that most of the posts there are inclined towards progressive or leftist ideals. Also, I chose migrating here instead of the US because it felt like it has less fascists. Of course, that's just my humble world view.
