This only shows how ignorant on bioinformatic analyses is whoever listed two items on the left. Without effort, I can say... git, bash, python, R-lang, alignment algorithms, UMAP, clustering algorithms, snakemake, nextflow, slurm, amazon web services, google cloud platform, conda, heuristics, more algorithms, deep learning, machine learning, imputing missing values, frequentist statistics, parametric or not, bayesian statistics, mmm.. Ok, point given.

Paywalls often give ~3 free reads per week. It's not a problem until it is.

Buckets have a lot of features that postgres don't. Like mounting via FUSE. And Garage in particular offers some integrations to apps, websited, and so on. I would go with this instead of having a column of byte data in a DB table. The pgsql solution might work in small and simple cases (e.g. storing the user's avatar in a forum) but even so, if I could or had to choose, I wouldn't do it.

Very informative nonetheless! Thanks for your comment. Today I learnt more about these generations classification that seems to be everywhere.

SourceForge never updated UX, some devs still use it but indeed github won. I think federated social interaction will win at some point. Git is distributed itself, but user accounts, follows, notifications, etc. would benefit of federation. Forgejo might make it sooner or later .

The description seems more like pushing a vegan perspective. I don't know if that's a good way to get started. Nonetheless, I wish your endeavor the best!

what's the point on this post? I feel like I might be missing something.. The text looks generated, is that the joke?

This is sad to me, it was the rock band I admired back in 2001. Twenty years later, I didn't follow their music anymore since long ago... Yet, the turns of life brought me to Germany. And I heard this... Really hope there's some justice, and it never happens again. nothing. even. similar.

Installation on phone from F-droid (Syncthing-fork) gives a 1-way share of your Camera to backup to PC whenever you get back home. That's my top usecase... Together with syncing KeePass database since long ago too.

Ironically, Signal is about to move user IDs towards something unattached to telephone numbers and it had not been able to do so yet. Meanwhile, the slow moving XMPP has never made the wrong decision of using phone numbers because it was developed in an era when phones where a whole other thing than today's pocket computers. Instead, XMPP accounts are federated like Lemmy or email...

onedev.io wasn't mentioned.

Also, be aware that gitea was forked by the community into forgejo because of reasons.

It has an 'App store' that's been growing a lot lately. Writing new docker-compose.yaml files is easy (see: https://www.runtipi.io/docs/contributing/adding-a-new-app ), and exposing them behind NAT, e.g. from home it's easy too (see: https://www.runtipi.io/docs/guides/expose-apps-with-cloudflare-tunnels )... But my favorite perk is the folder structure (see: https://www.runtipi.io/docs/reference/folder-structure ), and the fact that 'media' is shared between apps.
