Oat milk could be a kind of gruel IF they are boiling oats in a lot of water. I don't know if the commercial oat milk is made like that. Home-made oat milk is not heated at all and you know how and what you are using. The person you heard may have been using poetic license.

Very much so. Look up online your favourite plant-based milk and see if you can find it in powdered form. I use soy and coconut milks this way. You can also make oat milk yourself from rolled oats. Look up online on how to do it. It's an easy process.

Yup, we pay all that money mostly for tap water and packaging. I've started buying plant-based milk in powder form. That way I only make what I need, it keeps well, is cheaper and no unnecessary packaging.

Currently, we can only dream of having such cycling systems in place. Canberra comes closest to the Netherlands in having planned-for bike paths in many parts of the city from its early days. In most of our other cities it is difficult to impossible to do because of the road and street design and bike paths can only be developed in small sections of cities. I think you'd find the same problem in many European cities. You are very lucky to have such a practical, and community-minded (and flat) country which is so ideal for cycling.

What is it with the Vic Govt and defenceless animals? They have culled thousands of wombats and koalas (shooting koalas from helicopters) too. Then there's the duck shooting season. Then there's the kangaroo 'harvesting' (over 100,000 last year). Appalling.

Vale Rhoda. I remember hearing her speak on TV about current indigenous issues and I was blown away by her honesty and willingness to talk about these issues in ways that went beyond common politics.

Some of our State governments and major hospitals are deeply embedded in Israel’s health ‘ecosystem’, while Israel refuses to help 20,000 injured in Gaza and has damaged and destroyed 94% of Gaza”s hospitals, killed at least 1,722 healthcare workers (and now over 30 in Lebanon) and detained and seriously mistreated hundreds of Palestinian health workers, including senior doctors, without charge.

This is shameful.

And I imagine we'll have to take more refugees too (which I completely agree with) considering the number of displaced people that are growing in the ME because of our allies' insane and brutal actions

Time out from the heavy stuff. This video is not only interesting but will put a smile on your face. It is not rude so can be shared with children (but not young ones as they may not understand) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GXjfz0N_JXg

This is what we we need more of. It IS possible. Those who seek to divide are doing wrong by Australia.

We have US operations and facilities in the Northern Territory. If Iranian intelligence showed that these were being used to aid the American assault on Iran in any way, they'd have every right to destroy them. We could be a legitimate target. If during the early days of this despicable war we're already thinking of aiding Arab gulf states ruled by dictator families put there by the US, we are already active in this conflict, not just there for defensive purposes (according to the lame explanation we are being given by our government).

I believe many Australians would not support a draft but others would, PLUS we would be blasted by war propaganda (which we already are). I'd like to see all those older men who are so pro-war go and enlist and leave our young people alone.

And if you want the issue to be debated in parliament you can sign a petition linked in the article.
