I don't know. Just because they're not a publicly traded company doesn't mean they don't want more money 🤷 but certainly they may want to "stay in their lane" and focus on what they're best at. Just seems like an absolute fuckton of money they're leaving on the table to me.
Honestly it's pretty crazy that Steam hasn't entered the most lucrative gaming market.
A lot of people think fragmentation of digital markets will deliver a worse experience.
While it does add a tiny amount of friction, the trade-offs are massive.
It's great if you can convince all of your customers to use a new payment service. Most businesses are not gonna go anywhere near that. They don't care.
This thread is just a reminder of how terrible phones have become.
Strangely it's usually only the cheap phones that include these premium features.
