Kind of goes against the underlying principles of FOSS to hire a team to work on a project. Not that all FOSS work is volunteer based, but once something becomes an incentivized project the FOSS part starts to become a bit ambiguous.

I don’t think my problem is that self-driving cars are better or worse drivers, I think I have an issue with the fact that they are alpha-testing their product on streets that they may not be ready for. In the event of a collision, the car is going to drag someone around? That’s a pretty risky edge case to shrug off.
Also notable is that they are hiring for a Chief Safety Officer now.
Point aside, what’s reddit doing that taking three days off for health makes it impossible to meet deadlines? What exactly are they juggling in that accounting department that demands so much from a single employee? Sounds like she was overworked and overwhelmed from the start.

Our excessive lack of proper planning and foresight really gets accentuated when you evaluate how wasteful and inefficient any of our processes are. I’ve been listening to Walden on audiobook recently, it’s almost as if Thoreau really did transcend his time and saw that the future would be equally as futile as his present at properly providing for humanity in a meaningful way.
We would rather have luxuries and pleasures than fulfilling proper needs, work tends to take away from our needs in ways we overlook.

Of course not. The last comment was made based on the title and not the content, which focused completely on African-American crime. I will stand by the fact that the media perpetuates this in English too. If one event occurs, the media makes it appear as if it’s a widespread trend and overplay the frequency and severity of such events, while implying specific races are responsible. All of which is a blatant effort to maintain status quo. “The poor cause crime, the rich follow the rules”
