Poor people that question their circumstances or don’t follow the rules are dangerous for rich people. America has systematically reduced the wealth of millions of African-Americans and rather than vilifying “reparations” everyone should be fighting for equality and justice. Of course the current trend is to subject anyone below a certain wealth threshold to ever-tighter conditions to keep them from ever gaining or building reasonable wealth.

Now you’re throwing ad hominem around. You don’t need to be toxic to communicate your point, web development did at one point have a lot of growing to do and I can admit that there is still plenty of progress to be made. In 2024 however, ignoring the web ecosystem as any type of developer is purely traditionalist elitism.

Scooters are more efficient, get you where you need to go and cost less to maintain. Your analogy is actually pretty good in that regard.

But those VR headsets are so heavy and my neck muscles are atrophied from years of playing on my phone

Yeah I was thinking about which article it was that detailed the automotive industry’s very effective attempt at blaming pedestrians for an uptick in accidents involving pedestrians. Almost like being able to walk freely is less important than being able to drive freely, now we get to see the repercussions.

A big truck should require a CDL, maybe not the same class of CDL a tractor-trailer requires, but a significant bar to entry. Automotive lobbies have probably kept this from happening yet.

I would walk 4,611,686,018,427,387 miles and I would walk 4,611,686,018,427,387 more just to be the man who walks 9,223,372,036,854,774 miles to fall down at your door

If you can’t make any sense of it, keep trying. If keep trying isn’t what you want to do, don’t do it. Really, you don’t have to force yourself into this if it’s unintelligible and frustrating. I’ve hit the wall plenty of times, and I keep hitting the wall, sometimes I wish I could just stop while I’m not stressed and going bald.

I think the key issue is that the exploit can only be fixed by replacing the hardware in these cars, which means for Tesla that the vehicle’s unique IDs are probably the most valuable thing that could be taken advantage of.

I tried to use Firefox for work but I had to log into multiple AWS accounts at the same time, which I didn’t think was possible. It’s easy with profiles in the chromium browsers, trying to remember if I tried it in Firefox now
