I'm just pointing out that not everyone thrives in a WFH environment and I think it shouldn't be a controversial take to admit that.
I liked working from home at first, but after so long it becomes harder and harder to leave your work at "work" when your workplace is also your home. Now I am back in the office and actually prefer it that way. I have the flexibility to work from home on weekends or when I need to be home for some reason, which is good enough for me.
Trust me, if your employer wants to know if you've been coming into the office or not, they can easily find out without needing Microsoft Teams to tell them about it. They can see what IP address your machine is connecting from. And if you work in a building with secure access they could also just pull your badge-in history to find out if you're actually there or not.
Yeah I understand that things have improved a lot. But it's the 10-30% performance hit in DX12 games that keeps me from wanting to dive into Linux as my primary OS on my gaming machine. If they can get that closer to parity with Windows, I'm all-in on Linux for life.
Still waiting for nvidia to pull their heads out of their asses and fix gaming performance on their GPUs under Linux before I make the jump myself. And no, I don't want an AMD GPU.
The way the law works currently it's just a mechanism to remove gun rights from people and to tack on extra bullshit charges to anyone who happens to get caught with a little weed and also owns guns. Sincerely hope they can actually change this law because it is almost entirely used for bullshit.
It's the nvidia performance issues that keep me on Windows. I'd love to use an operating system that values and respects my privacy. But I'm not willing to take a large gaming performance hit to do it. That day this gets fixed I am dropping Windows and never looking back.
One of the biggest things keeping me from jumping into Linux as my primary OS is because of nvidia's performance issues, particularly with DX12 games on Linux. I'd be taking like a 10%-30% performance hit. I know the games will "run" but I want them to run well, that's why I spend so much money on my GPU.
Wow talk about racist. The name Fuentes comes from Spanish and French origin, which are mostly white people. Also 10-15% of Mexico's population is white. To assume someone is non-white because their last name is Fuentes is actually hilariously racist.
