I'll keep in mine the criticism, and please do report any apparent harassment of downvotes
too real lol, the things I have to deal with as an admin... can't assume anything
I actually am not sure what you're talking about
It would be a spam bot, so yes. What does a spambot have to do with this at all? Also these are opinions, you ask me for hard numbers when you yourself are stating your opinions as fact. We had multiple reports of harassment and brigading downvotes. We'll revisit the issue when lemmy updates and/or we can potentially have more moderation tools. I'd love to submit a PR and have fuzzy downvotes and hiding negative comments based on downvotes but, currently I don't know rust and even if I did this instance is pretty much run by 2 volunteers and we both have day jobs, so to reiterate, it will be back when it can be.
not sure if I forgot to scratch it out or if the mod is now active again but hotwife's mod is active, and thickfit has already had a mod added, you'd have to reach out to them to see if you could get added to the mod team
you've been added!
No worries, I'm happy to help
Currently I think the automod has rules for finding things included in the title, but I'm not sure if it has logic for looking for things NOT included in a title. I'm working currently, but I'll do some googling later and see if this can be achieved with regex, but this may be something that's not possible yet unfortunately
you've been added to those communities aside from gone mild, the mod is very active
@squeef@lemmynsfw.com would you be ok with having him added to your mod team?
Did you give it the full name with the @lemmynsfw.com ?
edit: you shouldn't have to do that
the automod can be finnicky with empty white space though
this is an example of a rule that should work:
{
"rule": "comment",
"community": "gonewild",
"match": "pizza",
"type": "exact",
"whitelist_exempt": false,
"mod_exempt": false,
"message": "Your comment has been removed because I don't like pizza",
"removal_reason": "Said the word 'pizza'"
}
It appears to be a lemmy UI issue for the web, you may need to enable NSFW previews in the app you're using for thumbnails there
I've made a post to detemine what the majority of the instance wants, please do read it and vote in the poll https://lemmynsfw.com/post/18057762
