I wanted to make sure they were essentially like newspaper comics and they were mainly printed in the New Yorker!

They originally appeared in a series of 150 standalone single-panel comics, about half of which were originally published in The New Yorker between 1938 and their creator's death in 1988.

Or sometimes history if I can’t remember at all.

Oh my bad, two other people said that too I was just excited

Correct!

Although China shifted from panda gifts to a policy of high-priced loans in 1984, Mexico has retained ownership of the locally born pandas since their lineage traces to gifted pandas.

In 1981 Ying Ying gave birth to Tohui, who in turn mothered Xin Xin (with Chia Chia, a gifted panda originally at the London Zoo). Xin Xin is the last living panda not owned by China.

From the aforementioned Wikipedia article.

Indeed, and here we are still talking about it.

Something tells me we this post and the Tide Pod challenge meme don’t have a lot in common, and we won’t be talking about this one Chinese academic “dismantling” someone’s argument in seven years.

Like, if this is “ultra-viral,” what was the tide pod challenge? Ultra-mega-viral?

I see that calling anything “viral” has lost all meaning

I enjoy reading reviews where the person is trying to write that there’s nothing special about a product, and at the current price point you should get something else… without writing that.

For that price, I might have expected slightly better noise cancelling and a potentially more well-rounded sound…

I know I've definitely enjoyed using them for the last few weeks, and if you can still pick them up at the discounted rate I spotted them at recently, then they're well worth a go.

Let me paraphrase. Are you a “pick me?” These unique fashion-first headphones are for you.

Are you someone who just wants decent headphones? Buy something else unless you can get them on discount.

If it’s not the DEA it’s the CIA. If it’s not the CIA it’s the FBI.

Yep, in my experience leaving a bunch of space on the belt can sometimes cause confusion if the cashier gets distracted!

So it’s just kind of polite to use it so everyone isn’t relying on implicit cues.

I’ve actually been using it for a month (replacing regular Firefox) and I like it! It was funny to see it listed, because it is a ridiculous name.
