Yeah, my Lemmy client timed out twice trying to upload the photo. Then failed again when I tried using a link. Each time I refreshed it and didn't see a comment, so I figured might as well try again. I noticed the multiple comments but it looks like my client just silently fails when deleting them. I figured it was funny so I didn't try too hard to delete them (ツ)
Gotta throw my vote in for tumbleweed. Its IMO the best distro to get the latest packages while still maintaining stability. Their built in roll back feature is great.
Software not being well supported is kinda a sticking point. Though honestly its becoming less and less of an issue each day. Flatpaks are available for almost everything, distrobox covers the rest. I really haven't run into any situation that prevented me from doing what I wanted. I've been using it for a few years now across my desktop, laptop, and my computer at work. Suse is enterprise Linux after all, its still got great support
KDE Neon is going to be better supported than installing plasma on Ubuntu. Option 2 will be less of a headache long term I think.
The models are getting imposible to repair. Everything is plastic and isn't designed to be taken apart. It's lenovos fault, their build quality is crap across the line. Of all the computers I've fixed (which is a lot), lenovos are by far the worst to deal with

Serverpartdeals is good. https://www.goharddrive.com/ is another option. Generally slightly more expensive than serverpartdeals, but with better warranty. Both are reputable options
I'm using US Mobile. You can choose between using their GSM network (T-Mobile) or their CDMA network (Verizon). Their prices are fantastic and it's all prepaid, so you can limit how much personal information you give them. They've worked out a deal with Verizon so your data isn't deprioratized even though you're not a primary Verizon customer, so there's no speed penalty. I've been very happy with them
I'm also on US Mobile, they've been great so far. Easy to get support and they're prices are the best I've found.

They have a lot of products, including other fans and thermostats. I've had their media cabinet fans running 24/7 for 4-5 years now with no problems. Highly recommend it.
