Western countries (USA) often have rich economies, which means that the average person in said countries often has better access to high amounts of storage than people from impoverished countries. This makes it so it's not a priority for companies targeting that audience to optimize for disk space.

TLDR: Rich countries get beefy PCs, which get unoptimized games

A Meme. The first half shows a screenshot of the game "Banana" on Steam, showing how it weighs 1.89 Gigabytes. The second half shows a couple of native americans talking on a snowy landscape while inspecting footprints on the snow.

Native A: A western game dev has been here. Native B: How can you tell? Native A: It weighs 1.89 Gigabytes.

And I believe the time is ripe for Hollywood to fuck off

If it's spoofing them, its going to be more effort than it's worth to actually detect that client. I strongly recommend you to delete this post or you're gonna cause a massive Streissand Effect

Since a lot of women have started to call their female friends "girlfriends", I have to wonder how women with actual girlfriends have been dealing with this lol

This is, of course, an exaggeration of the both of them. Each has its own use case in which it performs better than the alternative. In truth, I use ubo as much as I use reader view :)

TLDR:

In 2018, a man in a baseball cap stole thousands of dollars worth of watches from a store in central Detroit.

The AI was trained on a database of mostly white people The photos of people of colour in the dataset were generally of worse quality, as default camera settings are often not optimised to capture darker skin tones.

Mr Williams' photo didn't come up first. In fact, it was the ninth-most-probable match.

Regardless...

Officers drove to Mr Williams' house and handcuffed him.

They arrested him in front of his five and two-year-old kids...

Ai with bad training data + lazy cops who didn't learn how to use the tools they were given = this mess

Then you wouldn't be torrenting over Tor, you'd be torrenting through a VPN. And also using Tor with a VPN, which is not recommended.

Doubt it. It's more likely that the video you're trying to share had a weird codec or an exotic format. If you recode it in another format, you'll be able to share it. You could try this using any video editing software.

I've personally been doing this for many years, seeding all sorts of nasty stuff and no one that I know has ever gotten so much as an email.

Feel free to use no privacy measures, but at least setup an alert so you know if your country's police decides to start persecuting pirates.

I recommend u setup a Google alert with a query like "YOUR-COUNTRY-HERE arrestan pirateria". So if a news article that matches that query ever gets posted online, you'll instantly get an email
