At least twice before, Thomas has similarly defended his failure to make required disclosures as an unintentional error or a misunderstanding of the rules.

Seems like the only possible explanations are that he's lying or he's incompetent.

Even in 2016 it was obvious what kind of person he was. His "good" supporters claimed that being President would change him for the better. We all knew then that they were wrong. We all know now that they were lying.

She has always known what kind of person Trump is; he's not exactly subtle. And she supported him anyway, even to the point of committing serious crimes in his name. The only difference now is that she is facing consequences.
