I have a Steam Deck that is connected to my TV 90% of the time. I'd like to replace this with a PC that has maybe slightly higher specs than the Steam Deck. Are there any pre-built solutions that are really affordable?

Is it based on ActivityPub? I don't really know much about it other than Jack Dorsey is involved.

I find this ignorance really frustrating that people believe purchasing an electric car is somehow environmentally neutral. People should be educated on the environmental toll of EV production, lithium mining, tire pollution etc.

I trimmed the trunk because it was growing quite tall and spindly. Is there any way to continue growing the main trunk or will it only grow branches now?

I've had a lot of luck with banking apps on GrapheneOS. Worth a try if you haven't already.

Then stand up your own server and govern it as you please.

its not a huge issue on KeePassXC because I keep a yubikey nano plugged into my laptop, but for my phone, I haven't been able to make this work reliably with KeePassDX. I'll have to give it another go.

Ok great, coming from Reddit, I was unaware I could edit the post title. thanks

I like the look of KeePassDX but I was bothered by the fact that I have to use the yubikey every single time to unlock the database, unlike keepass2android which allows me to store the yubikey credential with biometric lock until the phone restarts. Keepass2android is not as nice of an app but that feature was really required for me.

It does require some configuration within yubikey manager. I did not find it straightforward but once set up its really reliable.

Would self hosting be possible (and fairly reliable) on a SBC?

So I can sign up for beeper and connect through Element or another Matrix app of my choosing?

I am looking for a solution to receive WhatsApp messages on my phone. I don't want to install the WhatsApp app on my personal phone, but it is on my work phone and its mandatory for my job. I held out for a long time but it is necessary that I answer messages on there.

Beeper.com is enticing but it appears to have a lot of trackers for an app that claims it respects privacy.

What do you guys think?

no, you're wrong. This organization is basically still experimenting, and they have come a long way over the years. There are also efforts to trap plastics at mouths of rivers to try and slow down polluting the ocean. There is hope yet.

I am looking for a set of wired earbuds with a USBC Jack. I had a set of apple ones with an adapter but I found the adapter too unreliable. This will be for use with a google pixel phone. Anyone got a set they could suggest?

How does NixOS compare to SteamOS on the Deck? Does it work just as smooth? Also, is EMUDeck compatible with NixOS?

Is the fact that you're using a bridge at all apparent to your WhatsApp friends? Or is nothing different as far as they are concerned? Also, does Element have a setting to prevent pictures and video from being automatically downloaded over cellular data?

For my phone, I use Graphene OS. What would be the best desktop Linux option to match the level of security and privacy that GOS provides?

I'd like to rely on Google Play Store less, is there an easy way to get proton apps and keep them updated?
