I can't imagine removing a healthy part of the endocrine system has good results in the long term. If it's an option, perhaps an ovarian preserving spay, or a vasectomy, would be in order. Though not many vets in the US offer such procedures. If only we could be more like Germany...
Wow, here's something I would have expected from Reddit, not Lemmy. I'll just be a weirdo, not funding the horrors we subject cattle in order to obtain something that the population of only a few countries can even consume past infancy, of which the original need was borne of desperation.
