The problem is its already pretty public, just for mods and admins, and non-lemmy instances.

While I agree its not ideal to have everything be public, given it functionally already is, this just makes it easier for users to see. Right now its a minor hurdle, but still a hurdle - but your votes are not really private/anonymous to start with.

For office attire or going out, sure.

If you're doing repair work, running lines, etc, a watch is the choice. Your hands are busy, so a watch is what you need (Except for specific trades where you don't want to risk it getting caught in machinery).

I can say with 100% certainty that I know large swaths of folks in their 20's and 30's who regularly wear watches. Some smart, some digital, some analog.

No problem!

Ideally, on-site local crew and a portable kit, preferably two sets in case of issues. Usually a small prod switcher, lenovo tiny (or hp/dell, we just use Lenovo mostly), and a small audio mixer, with wired mics rather than wireless, like an SM7B or an ev re-20. It's basically a mini version of the same kit used for the main session. Backup machine though is a laptop rather than another PC if it's only one kit.

If there is no one going on site to the remote participant, there's a session before hand to set it up (a week if possible), a session to test with them and get them comfortable (a few days before), and a session a few hours before the main event start to make sure they are all set.

Edit: Stupid autocorrect

For distributed that feed back to a centralized DB? Me. All the dang time.

Lawnchair hasn't had a new release in like 6 years.

Personally, I'm using Kvaesitso (available on fdroid). https://github.com/MM2-0/Kvaesitso

It's the best I've found for me post-nova

If it's for work, it used to be all RHEL (or Oracle). I'm stuck with Oracle for one specific type of system, but all the RHEL is getting replaced with stable AF Debian now. Which is great, since I prefer Debian to pretty much anything else, especially for servers.

Ubuntu I have no interest in touching anymore unfortunately. It was snaps that did it for me. It's unfortunate because it used to be a distro I really liked, but boy has canonical just been working things downhill the past several years (for me at least, I'm sure others are fine with it).

Desktop I keep swinging between Debian and endeavor, to the point where I just have them both as VMs and just swap which is active with the GPU passthrough...

And the easiest way to handle blocking in many apps too, quick and easy peasy.

About $7k in mass transit costs for me.

And then they wonder why I said "none" to "how many days a week will you be in?"

If you don't like it, block it.

It's working as the mods intend it to, making it a good bot.

Hell I just did that with what's effectively a black box this morning - if it's critical, it gets done the right way or don't bother doing it at all.

Edit: Bonus unnecessary word

I've commented on this elsewhere - as far as prosecutors go, she's been pretty progressive (drug cases aside, which I take issue with), focusing on jail time for violent offenders, and trying to avoid jail time for the non violent offenses. Her record, as well as the back on track program from her time as AG, speak to that well.

So even in terms of prosecutors (definitely not my favorite group as well, for a variety of reasons), her approach was very progressive, and generically speaking pretty good in my book.
