Oh they can do as they please of course, its just... a free demo as is. And a tiny/mini/micro can be had for about $150, so not exactly a ton to run two machines you'll have for years.

Again, no issue with commercial software, or even levels. The couple I recommend often are for audio and video editing, reaper and resolve respectively. Reaper for reference has no limits, just a nag after 60 days. Resolve the main difference is UHD as the limit, 60fps, and Studio adds in support for DCI 4k (up to 32k really) and 120fps.

The lifetime on this is twice what Reaper costs, and the Pro level is comparable to Studio.

I live in terminal, and I would have personally considered this, but at those limits I'm just not even interested in testing it out. Just my opinion, of course, and why I say I get where they are coming from. A different structure that I'd consider more reasonable at the free end would have had me try it out (I went to the page for that reason, to see the pricing and what the tiers were), but now I've lost interest. If I tried it and liked it, I may have recommended it to others, like other software I've personally bought or bought through work, which they may do the same. With the limits though, its not like I can see how fully useful it would be for me.

Which is why I think its more like a lifetime limited demo than a free community edition.

What I consider her is a republican asset, to be clear. Which is why she works so closely with so many far right republicans, and is specifically trying to pull votes in battleground states to give Trump the win. Lets be honest here - even her own people say thats the goal.

And I don't think any state is really non-contested at this point. I will continue to support expanding social programs and shutting down the far right at every turn, and now that I know WFP is in my state enough, I'll be supporting them at every point I can.

I also won't turn a blind eye to someone intentionally trying to get the far right in power. Which is what Jill Stein and the Green Party are doing.

I'm not against commercial software personally, I've even recommended some options I consider the best in the past that are a huge improvement over open source options. I've also had my employer purchase support licenses for open source projects that don't require it to do what we're doing. I like people getting supported for their efforts.

The pricing model here does jump into having to pay very quickly though. For example, the community edition is a single proxmox node - not Enterprise, thats a separate category. Its practically a free demo with the limits there. Just my opinion, but thats far too strict and drives straight into being just pure commercial at that point.

So I get their perspective on this.

Thats wonderful!

I still want to make sure people know what Jill Stein is, and don't throw away their vote to her as the republicans she collaborates with want.

Your mind won't be changed, you're going to keep saying the same stuff, I get that.

I mention it for others who read this thread. Working Families Party is a great example of a third party that actually is working for change, and collaborates to stop the far right.

The Green Party, and Jill Stein, is actively working in a way to the advantage of the far right, as well as blatantly working directly with them. Which makes her... dun dun dun.... a spoiler candidate.

So yeah, I'll keep repeating it.

If they really wanted to do be effective, they’d best be working together where goals align.

This is what the WFP does. They have a number of members running as Democrats, or put their endorsement to democrats, where needed (or where they don't have ballot access and need to run as Democrat).

They don't belong in NateNate60's list.

Just wanted to mention (from another discussion on here) something I thought was relevant.

The Working Families Party is a social democracy and progressive party. What is key about them (and decidedly different than green) is that not only are they working towards better, they collaborate (and use electoral fusion where its an option) to side with Democrats to keep Republicans out, where by themselves they would lose.

There is actually a WFP member running under the Democrat ticket in my area, who already had my vote, and I didn't even notice was a member of the WFP. These are the sort of 3rd parties who are actively working to make things better, and ensuring the far right doesn't make gains. These are the sort of 3rd parties that are, imo, worth being members of.

You can check them out here: https://workingfamilies.org/

Their candidates, and the limited number they've endorsed that are Democrats (like Harris), are here: https://workingfamilies.org/candidates/ - you'll see at the top of each state if they have an org in place, which they do for CA, CO, CT, DE, GA, NJ, NM, NY, OH, OR, PA, RI, TX, and WI.

You'll see a big difference with them, notably the number of them who are running in local and state elections. Where they don't have ballot access, they work with the Democratic ticket. Where they do, and where a far right win is not going to happen, they run as WFP. Philadelphia has a few members on their council.

Hope you take a look!

Ehhh no, that's not true.

You can say no, but if they pull in some other reason (such as dogs) to give them a meaningful excuse, they now have probable cause for the search.

Anything is now 100% admissible, you can sue but its not going anywhere, and they can still get away with planting evidence because they came up with whatever probable cause necessary to perform the search anyway.

Edited to add: BTW, if your car gets all scrsthed up from the dogs, that's just too bad.

Get a dash cam, front and rear ideally, which also grabs the interior. You do not need to notify police that they are on camera, while in uniform they are public personnel and are not subject to any expectation of privacy while carrying out their "duty". But it may be good to mention you have a camera in there, and no, you will not turn it off.

Perfect shouldn't be the enemy of good.

It will take a lot longer to get proper gun control in place in the US. We've already got the GOP and their "Well it sucks, but too bad, move on" rhetoric going.

There is no reason not to minimize risk during the time it will take, even to get to where we we were 20 years ago.

I see it. I'd report it to the dev, would be good for them to know why it isn't working for you.

Women are the root of the change and I don't know if its the only big one for me to comment on about a group of chosen to ignore that I do have to do a replication verification to sync the same people with broken screens
