Not mathematician.

Cool.

The real issue is that airplane mode should really only affect cell signals now and leave WiFi alone since planes have WiFi now and a lot of applications share between devices with WiFi, and leave Bluetooth and NFC alone since they’re short range and low power and unlikely to cause issues.

I'm not sure how common it is, but my S22+ will remember if I turn bluetooth or wifi on while in airplane mode, and leave them on in the future. That's especially nice since I use a CGM that pairs to my phone via bluetooth, so I don't have to worry about accidentally losing that connection.

Spot on about there not being any point in having cellular service enabled. You're 6 miles up and traveling a mile every few seconds, so you might as well just shut that radio off and save a bit of battery power.

The definition given is almost word for word the definition of an engineering mindset, regardless of field.

I'd say it's not a bad way to think about your life as well, as long as you limit the scope to things you realistically have the ability to impact and focus most of your energy on the actual problem solving.

Not necessarily making them easier, but making it so that one shift worth of management and office/engineering staff can effectively support 2 manufacturing shifts.

The managers could come in at 5, but then they only have a couple hours at best to interface with 2nd shift

Dude, the local Costco had Xmas stuff up ON MOTHERFUCKING LABOR DAY WEEKEND.

I also thought infringing on Halloween's sovereign retail space was going to far, but this is literal insanity.

Me: Mom can we get The Pack?

Mom: No, we have The Pack at home!

At home: .....

There was a whole series of "Got Milk?" ads back in the 90s featuring celebrities with a milk moustache and a clever little pun. This one is just especially sinister with the context removed lol

NE and hazy IPAs are where it's at. A little bit of citrus and/or floral flavor to set off the bitter hops... Mmmm

You hit the nail on the head there. There are lots of reasons to seek out a less corporate, less mainstream online community. No need to invoke any horseshoe theories.

So far I see very little evidence of QAnon type ratholes here, probably in no small part because the platform doesn't really seem conducive to paranoid echo chamber type activity.

Ratchet & Clank games are solid and approachable if you're into casual platformers. The main focus is the huge array of different weapons which often get hilariously over the top in the late game, and story is just there for a backdrop.

I feel like there's some relevant saying about this...

"First they came for the trans kids, and I did not speak out because history has shown that authoritarians are perfectly happy to marginalize one very small group and then stop there."

Or something like that.
