Favorite so far was probably a 2003 Mazdaspeed Protégé. They were kinda anemic for a 2.0t car out of the box, but I had built the engine a bit and goosed it to around 225whp. It wasn't the fastest thing around, but it had a raw mechanical feel that was a hoot to drive and toss around corners, especially after adding some stickier rubber.

I've got a NB Miata in the garage right now, but man it's just missing about 75whp to match the smiles per hour factor.

That's because it's 110% a bad-faith argument. They couldn't care less about anti-semitism in the sense of disliking Jewish people (as you pointed out), but they recognize the term as a convenient weapon to toss at anyone who might criticize Israel.

It's a weird bit of mental gymnastics.

I'm still on 13. (S22+)

So hopefully there is a good workaround once Samsung rolls out the next update.

Another point that rarely seems to be accounted for is what type of miles are being used for comparison.

Aggregate autopilot crash rates may look good compared to non-autopilot rates, but if autopilot cannot be used in inclement weather, challenging roads, or other risky situations, then the statistic is misleading. (Statistics??? Misleading??? Well, I never....)

Man, I feel that. Used to live in MN for quite a few years, and both the summers and winters could be brutal. I'm about 300 miles south now and somehow both winter and summer are milder 🤷‍♂️

The button on the left should say "adults aged 18-35 are buying less ____ because of ethical concerns/recent health findings/changing values/rising CoL/better alternatives (pick one)" and the bottom panel should say "clickbait journalists"

Why not? Choosing to have 1 child instead of 2 (or zero instead of 1) is generally considered a legally/ethically/morally acceptable choice. On the other hand stabbing someone (or yourself) with a carbon-neutral knife is generally not. Actually committing suicide would be less effective than having a child, unless you were able go back in time and kill yourself as a newborn.

If people were willing to pay what it cost for those services, they would still be commonplace.

Blame the people who will drive across town to save 10 cents on a can of soup as much as the companies who have found competing on price to be a viable strategy.

You can still fly with plenty of luxury and service, but you're going to pay more than a cheap coach seat. I can go to a store where my groceries are bagged for me, but their prices are higher than Aldi, where bags are not provided. I can get custom steaks cut to my liking, but it's going to cost me well north of the pre cut steaks at Costco.

Who knows if full service will stick around. If it costs and extra $.50 or $1.00/gal to fill up, are more than a tiny fraction of people going to pay for it? Probably not, but at least people aren't being forced to pay for a service they don't value.

What? I honestly have no idea what you're on about. I was kind of following your rant till the last sentence.
