Certainly, is there a way to migrate or we just gotta make a new sublemmy there?
Or they just dont, bank on the IP alone and reskin munchkin and call it diablo
Maybe I am reading this wrong but it looks grim. Downward trends all around
We do have a 3D printer and I love improving my games with all sorts of little things. I did also print some 1-part, 2-part, 3-part and 4-part stackable, multicolored trays which I love and use for many game.
And I have also folded some origami for Everdell which is a great addition and still all fits into the box:
But my favorite is our Burgundy Hexagon - it holds all the components of the game and includes also two dice trays. I would not want to play it without it, it makes playing much more fluid. The downtime inbetween phases is super short.
And all put back together:
we had a busy week and only managed to get our group together for a long session Terraforming Mars- it was a 4 player game with one new player at the table. While the newcomer did good, it came down to us other three to see who contributes the most.
I had a terrible start with almost all cards being useless early game. I had the Tardigrade card as my only card for 3 generations. I managed to claw my back back into the game by pursuing aggressive card-drawing strats. Placing oceans on the card-drawing hexes and take every opportunity to draw more until I had some decent cards on the table. Only ever build 2 cities and 2 greeneries but managed to get a head in the terraforming score by having some good science cards. In the end it was not enough still. My gf won the game scoring a whooping 23 points just from her cards and additional 10 points being first with 3 cities and 8 construction cards. She also got the Titan/Iron competition and flew ahead by 3 points. In-between me and her was our third player who is a longtime veteran of the game. While she had an amazing early game, her late-game faultered a bit.
For me, the game plays extremely well with 4 even though it can be a bit long.
Which means nothing and I will still wait for actual reviews after the release
We had a very busy week and only managed to squeeze in one game of Ark Nova. It remains my favorite game for two players.
We also had some family over with whom we played some games before even though they are not that much into boardgames. They usually play lighter Euros like 7Wonders Duel of the like. We introduced them to Castles of Burgundy. It was a gruesomely long game, at least 3.5 hours. In particular one of the relatives was stuck in analysis paralysis for a long time. Even though he was the last player, it felt like he did all the thinking when his turns start. However, Burgundy remains a really strong game and I usually just try to reach at least 200 points towards the end of the game.
The good thing was, since the game lasted until 2am, we had the prime-time window for the Peresid Metero Shower which was really spectacular. One was so strong that its tail remained visible for much longer than normal ones and was not a thin streak but more a thick line tapering on both ends. We also spotted Andromeda with our Binos.
We finally had our little group together and played wingspan - for such a popular but often polarized game I was eager and it turned out the game is … just Ok. The engine part never really materialized that much. The theme is neat but does little for me (I am a biologist, mind you). Overall its not a bad game but i would often choose other games in the collection.
We also played Dominion, Ark Nova and Terraforming Mars - all are amazing as usual
I like Ticket to Ride, but more to play with people that are not into games. Something easy, just a fun session in the evening with parents or other relatives.
We played a 2-player session of Ark Nova - I cannot get enough, the game is fantastic. Luckily, I lost the session so my gf might not get burned out again of the game. Really enjoy the game with 2, the gameplay is super fun. I am dreading to play it with more, I think it would become super chaotic. Anyone tried with more? Does the game take ages?
We also played the classic [https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/84876/castles-burgundy](The Castles of Burgundy) with 4 players. Its a super fun game, definitely the older-style Euros but it really still holds its own. We have a pretty nice organizer for it with dice trays and a place for all the hexes. It makes the setup and replenishing of tiles super easy and fast. Got something like 255 points in the end and almost filled my Kingdom, I had 2 or 3 hexes left to go. All Animal hexes and mines. The other three went for animals early game so I decided to leave it for later, 2-players completed all three mines before I could thus the victory marker was gone for it.
We also played Dominion, 2nd edition with 3 players. It just works so well, especially if you just have 30min. Its enough to explain the game and whip out one game. Just perfekt.
Social media was a mistake! Its all about the money and hidden marketing. Feels like it will be hard to prevent
Best show, period. I was happy that finally there is a story thought out from start to finish, is smart and does not hold your hand. I should rewatch it soon.
