No. There are still a lot of serious journalists on it. It is still a very important media for journalists to quickly share information.

Sorry but It was never that. I joined back in 2016 because everyone said it was the best for fast news and that was a Canadian election year. I didn't last a week, it was just one liners from "journalist" and a plethora of trolls and people slinging shit at each other

Imagine how bad it was for news, that I wound up liking Reddit more because there was a modicum of moderation

I’m not saying the system is good, just that this is how it works.

Totally get it... which is why my comment was intended to mean "what the fuck kind of system is this"... not "Elon bad"... although, yes, Elon bad ;-)

Proving once again that it's usually management that tanks a company.... Yet they get the golden parachutes

There's no enshittification outside.

Just watch out for the literal shit some irresponsible pet owners leave behind.... Other than that, this is great advice

The people that actually would benefit from this technology deserve better.

100% correct. The issue is that this is not the goal of those developing this technology, the goal is (checks notes), money... All they care about is money and if some disabled people suffer some more, well, that's the price they are willing to pay to get richer

He made a massive miscalculation on the combat effectiveness of both the Russian and Ukrainian armies

More like, he was counting on Trump's second term. If that had taken place, there would be no Ukraine now

It may still happen but hopefully the damage is done by now

Trial and error isn't the only way to optimize things... It's actually one of the worst, the one you use when you have no clue how to proceed

So no, that is not a justification for having done it or continue to do it

Now I wonder if substituting the sugar in my coffee with arsenic would render a delicious new beverage.... Only one way to find out!

You are seriously underestimating the complexity of products and how easy it would be for them to skirt such legislation

It would be a massive endeavour for regulators which companies may bypass by industry... This is not the right approach
