An authoritarian too cocky/arrogant/stupid to disguise their views

  1. MS has a horrible track record on privacy or even caring about their customers; Apple, deservedly or not, has higher level of consumer's trust

  2. MS brought out features too obviously ripe for abuse built in the most insecure way, lied about it and was quickly proven a liar. Apple says they built their AI in a secure way, their fans believe them and have not challenged

  3. Undoubtedly, there is still a huge Apple fanbase that would tell you Apple's turds smell nice. So there's a portion of that in the mix as well

I'm sure this time, unlike the prior times in the last 5000 years, slaughter will bring lasting peace

I don't read it as that... To me it looks like being afraid of leaving the closet causes homophobia

This is the same principle as small penis men buying large trucks... They are doubling down on the homophobia display to over compensate for their homosexuality

Translation: power hungry man sees a chance to gain power and disregards the cost

Yes but you see, he is a billionaire... Insider trading and other laws are for the pauper rich

And once again, nothing will happen

Had this been a minority with a couple of joints on him and they would have lynched him before getting to the Station

This is a transitional period issue. In a couple of years you can just say AI made it even if it’s a real picture and everyone will believe you.

Sure, but the question of whether they harm the victim is still real... if your prospective employer finds tons of pics of you with nazi flags, guns and drugs... they may just "play it safe" and pass on you... no matter how much you claim (or even the employer might think) they are fakes

I agree... however, we live in the world we live in, where employers do discriminate as much as they can before getting in trouble with the law

Is a predictable income something people want or something they need?

You keep framing it as if people can just do photosynthesis and keep a house while they have no income

[-] exanime@lemmy.today 18 points 7 months ago

I believe all of those except organization...

And to be fair, they were upfront about it...

The problem now is that 1) Google products turned from innovative to barely functional (with every improvement coming in a soon to be killed new app) and 2) they went from your data to show you ads to profiling people's fart strength

Now that I think of it, thesgiy e free products also differ from inflation ... You get to pay with even more of your privacy for an increasingly shittier product
