Yeah the place I'm at now was like 'great your somebody that we can move around/learn things'

Open but these fire comments have me reevaluating

I like doing stuff in the yard but if we're calling that chores, idk get high go fishing, maybe float on an inner tube with some beers

[-] ezmack@lemmy.ml 3 points 1 year ago

Yeah local stuff keeps me there. Even that's getting worse, every local station/paper has 5-10 bots replying to every post with completely off topic right-wing stuff.

It's still a good place to follow news. Shits getting bad though. Ads are way more intrusive than they used to be and it's like 90% credit card scams or explicit white power stuff

20 degrees is just a rule of thumb most ACs have a specific temperature change they're designed to do. You can go past it, that's just what the intented to do and it might not work as well or be able to do it. Fwiw I'd always heard 30 degrees farenheight for most window units. Had an hvac guy explain it to me years ago but fucked if I remember how it works

E: not sure why I'm getting downvotes this is like a very common thing. Google it https://frederickair.com/home-comfort/reduce-the-stress-on-your-ac-with-the-20-degree-rule/

[-] ezmack@lemmy.ml 2 points 1 year ago

We'd change their desktop background to something stupid

[-] ezmack@lemmy.ml 2 points 1 year ago

Rich people showing everyone how stupid they are is the only good part. Every other post and comment being an ad for a credit card scam or class action suit against antiwhite racism, and all the top comments from 1776whitepride1488 is what sucks

I used to work in a real sweatbox of a factory so we had huge fans running all day. It was deceptive because you'd normally be drenched in sweat but the fans prevented it. So you'd drink a gallon of water and take maybe one brown ass dehydrated piss. I could see something like that being blamed on a fan. Just heat exhaustion or dehydration
