Sure, this is a gross oversimplification, and SM is very wide; but the impact of two thousand years of Christianity really is very significant to the western psyche, even among the non-christian.

Things like being bad and deserving punishment or suffering leading to ascension are so close to christian concepts (sinning and hell, the passion of Christ) that it would be surprising for them not to be connected.

And there's also christian influences in sexuality outside of SM obviously. Stuff like Temptation Island on TV, or just sex being "dirty" in general (as in, engaging in sex lowers one's moral worth).

Sexual relations are the continuation of normal relations, making sexuality a mirror reflecting society. Findom reflects class relations, D/S reflects gender relations, SM reflects christianity, race play reflects racism, etc.

The blue track is voting democrat, the red republican, the green third party.

The meme is saying whatever way one votes, the us government will still support Israel in spite of what the ICJ calls a "plausible" ongoing genocide of the Palestinians, especially in the Gaza strip. And calls for destroying the system.

Biden won the highest turnout election in more than a century, and Al Gore's win was stolen by the Bush clique. This is gross reframing or even reimagining of events to suit your narrative.

According to MK, he was written to be gay, but higher-ups had him make his relationship with Huna ambiguous.

Even going as far as calling her husband an asshole (might be true, I'm not married to the dude).

You misunderstood the text, the sentence is :

If only I got a penny for every time someone said: you don’t look like a computer scientist, I could be Mackenzie Scott without having to marry an asshole.

She's calling Jeff Bezos an asshole, not her own husband.

Bash has an option for that you can put in your .bashrc:

Other interesting options exist

First, what makes you think we can? It's a strong claim to put forth without evidence.

Second, I won't be there in the future, so I'd like things not get too bad in the meantime.

Back in the cold war it was averted multiple times, and the USSR had a much more closed economy than China's. China going to war with NATO would lose them all their largest trading partners.

People who are pro choice might still choose to have children.

People don't necessarily inherit the political opinions of their parents, and can change their outlook over time.

People can spread their ideas through other methods than reproduction, such as debate, educating other people's children, or sharing their opinion on Lemmy.

The game also supports NVIDIA Reflex technology, but Unlike Anti-Lag+ which works on a driver level, Reflex is incorporated into the game itself.

This shows how Nvidia's size and money allow it to improve its market position without necessarily having better tech. They may sign deals with game developers to implement Nvidia-exclusive features rather than have to tamper with DLLs and such.
