When I was living over in Seoul, I volunteered at an organization that supported North Korean refugees. There were lots of native South Korean people there too. I imagine it's a mixed bag, similar to the US.

... Would they know, if it's via a VPN?

When people say things like this, I wonder if they understand how impossible it is. Google is not just a company. It is a 2 trillion dollar entity. Even if Google search entirely fails, it will still persist. At this point, you may as well say, "The wind needs to be ended." You don't end the wind. The wind already won. It will outlive you, me, and our children.

What we can do is protect against it. We can deal with it. We can contain it. We can redirect it and repurpose it to be helpful. But ending it? That doesn't happen.

I actually agree with you in many aspects. Something new that is being taught in therapy training is that we have to be aware of systemic issues that are contributing to someone's mental health.

Example: someone is suicidal and feeling hopeless. Do they have clinical major depressive disorder? Maybe, but if we ask "how are your finances doing?" And they say they work full time at Walmart and get paid $10 per hour and have 3 kids... Yeah it makes sense why they feel helpless and suicidal.

For this reason, therapists and mental health workers have a duty to advocate for progressive social policies.

I'm genuinely confused. Whole grain means higher fiber, which has a lot of benefits, compared to like white bread or something. Am I wrong?

I got it on some crazy sale long ago. They eventually updated, and still let me have the upgraded version as long as I had the pro app installed as well. I eventually decided to just buy it full price for the convenience of not needing to install the pro app every time I got a new phone.

It's one of my most used apps, so definitely worth it.

Hey! So I very much understand wanting to take the side of people who are oppressed in some way.

I think a way to do this without supporting oppressive regimes is to specifically support the people, and not the government.

Your comment was unclear, and because of that people are taking it as you supporting the government of Iran. I think most sane people agree that they suck. The people though - they are some of the kindest people I have ever met, and do not deserve the violence that they have experienced.

Pixelfed is nice but their porn filters just don't work at all.

I am on the main flagship instance. If you click the explore tab, you see porn. Instantly.

Idk if this is intended or not but until they fix that it simply can't go mainstream lol.
