This is why we can't have nice things!

Same here. Zenfones are expensive, but software updates are shit.

To be Jedi is to face the truth, and choose. Give off light, or darkness, Padawan. Be a candle, or the night.

It's his site. He will always win. Fuck him and greedy capitalists fucks like him.

PS: Enjoy Lemmy

What's his name?

Honestly? I would pay the premium for every quality app for lemmy/kbin. You had Sync, Relay, Boost, RiF on Android for reddit. If those were 'ported' for activitypub I would pay for each and every one. Even if it meant I used only one of them.

What do you prefer Microservices or Monoliths? Yes.

Zenfones are expensive AF. Zenfone 9 for example will not get Android 15. So very pricey and bad support. Also if you are into accessories than again, avoid Asus.

Options are iPhone minis (not Android lol), S22/S23 and pixel 7a (which is larger than the Pixel 5).

First thing I did was uninstall Relay.

Then logged off reddit on the desktop.

Put Jerboa on the same home screen spot where Relay was.

After a few days deleted my reddit account. Wasn't much of a commenter so just a simple delete for me.

I don't really enjoy Jerboa so whenever I reach for that spot I just remind myself to go to firefox on my phone an go on kbin or lemmy.

I used reddit mostly for doom scrolling and getting frustrated at world news and politics I cannot really influence. So the switch for me was kinda easy and after 12 years I really enjoy something new. I'm also fairly into technology and I am really fascinated by the concept of federation and I really hope it will be popular. I also hope that not all of reddit will move here, because I feel that reddit became huge and you got a sense of emptiness and hopelessness while browsing over there. If that makes any sense.

Enjoy the Federation, fuck Reddit ownership.

Cool they did. But as a sources of tech news and reviews I wouldn't recommend Techradar. They're not that thorough and their phone or pc hardware reviews are not that useful to be honest.
