You got what you wanted and you're angry about it

Bend what they said more, let's see if it breaks! They got mad at the way the person responded revealing they knew they were doing a dick, it's quite simple

I can only imagine what a dick you probably are all the time

Judging from your comment I'm going with: because projection

Mr. Incredible is sued for stopping a man's suicide and injuring him instead.

In a Disney film.

This is explicitly stated, to the camera, within the first 5 minutes.

Holy shit Disney, you hadn't "Up'd" us yet, chill

Mine WAS hurting, then I filed fraud charges with the bureaus and copied the email that showed Comcast saying I didn't owe them anything

Now it's only experian that keeps getting them about every 6 months, after 4 reports they started vanishing off my report within a week automatically lol

Absolutely insane that companies can just say that you owe them money without ever actually contacting you, sell your "debt" to someone, and have that hurt your credit for 7 years

This woman died only because she was honest with her doctor about her alcohol use

No, and it even says so in the article

She quit about 5 months before her death when transplants require 6-12 months of sobriety. She was drinking regularly with the fucked up liver before that diagnosis, and liver damage isn't something that just suddenly appears.

She kept drinking despite what would have been intense cramping pain and a slow death, thats why she was denied (addiction) and ultimately died

Note that the article says her partner was a compatible donor but the system refused to accept him because she used alcohol

And as the article also says it's incredibly dangerous for someone to get a live-donor transplant when they're in bad shape like she was, as failure of that means they'll need to let her die on-table or transplant a good dead one into her (which she was denied for, due to her drinking)

It's sad, but this woman died to alcohol abuse, pure and simple

Ive been downvoted to hell and back for saying that on FFXIVs reddit back in the day

They provide a literal toggle for you to bleep swear words out, yet you can get in trouble for using "fuck" in a way someone can perceive as insulting (which in some cases means using it at all)

It should be fucking illegal to penalize someone by restricting access to paid content like a video game because someone else refused to use features built into that game

Harassment and bypass? Fair game to get someone in trouble, though

I just make the G Assistant answer it

9 times out of 10 telling an AI voice who's calling and why is too hard for even a normal human to figure out so they hang up and now there's nothing to worry about!

Fun fact (not really) about Nim: he and the other ASL chimps were HORRIBLY abused. Basically every single one of them.

And it was all for nothing, not a single bit of evidence shows that teaching chimps ASL worked and allowed any form of actual communication.

Yes, even Koko.

80% certain it's DRM to stop theatre owners from pirating it between each other and not to stop the public from having those copies

Didn't really feel this way until last night

Neighbors dog got out and attacked some sheep, apparently they were getting flamed online for it

Could not for the fucking life of me find the Facebook posts about it even after logging in.

I DID find that my neighbor raped someone under 16 10 years ago, though, so thanks Google?

I made an account here FIRST on lemmy, but moved to world a week in or so because that was a more active instance

When they stupidly banned communities from here I came back and literally have said out loud that I'm unsure why I ever left

It's a perfect home for lemmy for me (a weird lurker who loves piracy and shrooms and whatnot) and the "is closing" scared the shit out of me lol

Because they can use the EU to set these standards more broadly?

Why write laws for your country specifically when the governing body a step higher is known to already be working on something very similar?
