Well, not about the DNS blocking, that's absolutely great but it can only block on a domain basis so ads from the same domain aka first party ads (E.g. Youtube ads) can't be blocked using it.

I never had a fast NVME SSD so my devices boot significantly slower than yours but unless you are actually at the point of instant booting it's about half the boot time for me. I only use OpenRC on my Pinephone because it's the default for PostmarketOS (a Alpine based OS for mobile phones) and never found a good enough reason to use it on my actual computer but it's quite a bit faster and also quite a bit less convinient so all in all probably not worth it but still impressive to watch!

The goal of ads isn't obviouse because it's subconscious influence on you that often shows up ages after you actually watched the ad. It's not a "buy now" but rather produce E.g. good feelings around a brand or product by showing you feelgood content and the less you care about the actual ad the more likely you are to ultimately fall for it. The by far biggest issue is that you won't notice once you fall for it tho because you just made a choice between multiple products and the influence only showed up subconsciously rather than "I noticed that in a ad" which is why they still work, everybody likes to think they are the exception it doesn't work on but that's not how exceptions work!

Piped proxies videos and Google changed their IP blocking strategy to the video endpoint (the site works but the stream doesn't) so you have to ether find a instance that isn't blocked or use Libretube and disable the video proxy there. It's unfortunate but should be fixed in the near future (not the first IP blocking wave just a new strategy on Youtubes side)

People use stolen credit cards to optain those keys and often the developer is left with a ton of chargebacks aka wasted time and money!

You kind of answered your own question, because every movie studio will want a own streaming service and as soon as the total cost is too high people start to pirate in masses again.

That's because it's not a sudtainable buisness model, I bet for the few actually good productions even donations would be better!

No worries, I guess I could have worded it a little better! :)

Protonmail and Tutanota seem like your best bets, big providers like to sort others in the spam folder tho!
