Absolutely, I would still like to have a collection of their garbage moderation to point to tho, well if people cut out all the CSAM that is!

Well, not about the DNS blocking, that's absolutely great but it can only block on a domain basis so ads from the same domain aka first party ads (E.g. Youtube ads) can't be blocked using it.

Damn, I didn't expect that much work, didn't we just get a update with the first version with new name? Awesome to see but make sure you don't overdo it and loose motivation in the long run! :)

Yes I don't understand the exact mechanisms but I did my research and no one could verify all of those huge codebases, we have experts in public so normal people can do their research and no I don't have to read every line and understand the mathematical formular to recommend secure tools...

The goal of ads isn't obviouse because it's subconscious influence on you that often shows up ages after you actually watched the ad. It's not a "buy now" but rather produce E.g. good feelings around a brand or product by showing you feelgood content and the less you care about the actual ad the more likely you are to ultimately fall for it. The by far biggest issue is that you won't notice once you fall for it tho because you just made a choice between multiple products and the influence only showed up subconsciously rather than "I noticed that in a ad" which is why they still work, everybody likes to think they are the exception it doesn't work on but that's not how exceptions work!

Piped proxies videos and Google changed their IP blocking strategy to the video endpoint (the site works but the stream doesn't) so you have to ether find a instance that isn't blocked or use Libretube and disable the video proxy there. It's unfortunate but should be fixed in the near future (not the first IP blocking wave just a new strategy on Youtubes side)

That's because it's not a sudtainable buisness model, I bet for the few actually good productions even donations would be better!
