Criminals will use the best tool of their choice as USD. Monero and cash works as intended regardless if it's used by criminals or not. Privacy is a right.
They would never terminate centralized currencies, that is why even Trump and Sailor support the U.S. owning most of Bitcoin.
My only concerns are Monero devs, what measures are devs taking to avoid something like the highjacking of Bitcoin?.
Are they the same mods of the Telegram group?

If you go to Monero's X account they only share their Telegram group and website. The group is quite active.
It is one of the things I dislike the most of Nostr and Stacker News, how mentioning Monero triggers this anti-shitcoin mindset to Bitcoiners.
There was some dev mentioning about some tech called Topaz to allow zapping with XMR but no news since then.
Then avoid X, Reddit or Discord. You need to be in different channels to teach and trade with people about Monero.
