Omg, who is this guy?

[-] gwilikers@lemmy.ml 1 points 1 month ago

If magic does exist, all I want is to have the power to cause anyone anywhere in the world to violently shit themselves.

I've put a lot of thought into this one. Its like Deathnote but they shit themselves instead. Trump wants to open his mouth? Well his asshole is gonna open too. That goes for any of the many fash cunt leaders rn. But it also wouldnt be such a OTT power that it could go to my head.

[-] gwilikers@lemmy.ml 1 points 1 month ago

They're so so fucking stupid. Like, he's trying to appeal to thickheaded investors so that the stocks pump on AI hype then has to contradict himself entirely when people who use the actual fucking product stop using it because it would be an AI slop nightmare.

Hahahaha. God they really are so fucking stupid.

Like I love how nobody seems to question the expertise of CEOs. Like, I know the board structure, they consult experts and make decisions. That makes sense (I mean it has problems but it makes sense). But if you're choosing a CEO for a Telecoms company, and the last job he did was being the CEO of a successful kitchenware company, I'm gonna question the degree to which this person can do their job well. There are so many CEOs who seem completely disconnected from the company they are in charge of.

I dont understand the downvotes on some of these anti-signal arguments. There are a number of very valid arguments against Signal if privacy is your chief concern: they have centralised servers, they've been extremely lax with adding their production updates to their publicly available source code on github, they receive funding from RFA.

Wait, what are the problems with Brave?

[-] gwilikers@lemmy.ml 1 points 10 months ago

Guy has been a fed since day one. Involved in early CIA projects. Bunch of the early contracts he got for Oracle came directly from the CIA. It made the company. They've been pally ever since. Ellison is just the CIA with all the social tact of a tech billionaire.
