It's not a LLM, it's a much smaller model (~3B) which is closer to what Microsoft labels as a SLM (Small Language Models, e.g. MS Phi-3 Mini).

Nothing is literally nothing, Apple could care less about them.

Nothing's solution is basically getting you to send your messages to them, and they'll send it through a Mac logged into your Apple ID hence achieving the "blue bubble" lol. Hugely insecure, hacky solution and hardly groundbreaking.

I'm kinda surprised another company hasn't made something to legit compete with iMessage yet

WhatsApp, FB Messager, Telegram? RCS is also a legitimate competitor.

The blocker isn't the tech, it's Apple's control of the ecosystem and iMessage's integration to SMS on iOS / macOS. I'd imagine if Apple provides an option for user to "switch default SMS app" to a 3rd party one, there'd be no reason why any one of the above wouldn't see a huge uplift.

By the way, the iMessage domination thing only really applies to North America. Rest of the world lives and breathes WhatsApp, WeChat, FB Messager etc.

Pixels are sold in fewer markets.

Even fewer for older Pixels, so it's been a deterrent for their growth.

In contrast, S23 will launch in 55 countries.

AI can be a great tool if used properly to enhance human work but companies seem hell-bent to instead have just AI do all the work, cutting human beings out completely and "saving costs". Recipe for disaster.

Jonathan, you are blessed with the gift of consciousness, reason and full cognition, yet you spend your days tweeting about birds on a platform that formerly identified as a bird.

"But it’s a very expensive show and, in the eyes of Netflix, we didn’t attract enough of an audience to justify such an investment [for season three]. They took risks to get the show off the ground, gave me the means to do Mank the way I wanted to do it, and they allowed me to venture down new paths with The Killer [his next feature]. It’s a blessing to be able to work with people who are capable of boldness."

Can't exactly blame Fincher for that outcome. Jonathan Groff said as much, Mindhunters is Fincher. The creator of the show is part of its DNA. Would you really want Fincher to hand it off to someone and potentially pull a Dexter or GOT S8?

It's a good show that stands on it's own. Manga / anime adaptation or not, it succeeded by actually being an entertaining show.

I'm a casual One Piece manga fan and I would say it is probably the most faithful adaption to the source material. Most of the sets and scenes are bang on and the cast is just fantastic and likeable. Luffy, Zoro and Nami in particular are great casts and really grew on me. But most importantly the show has heart, which is something a lot of the modern show lacks and tries to substitute with paint-by-color beats.

100% worth watching and would recommend.

Edit: Buggy the Clown's actor is da BOMB

I am Pro Sync, but I would still prefer Voyager / wefwef over the official web app.

Medicine can help bring you relief from illness, but it can't make you healthy if you were never healthy in the first place.
