As a teacher in lower secondary school, kids don't do any of that. They read physical media sporadically, and the main kind of digital media they consume is through IG and TikTok, furtherly filtered by the algorithm to appeal to their interest. The only kind of excitement I see in their eyes when talking reading is when talking manga, but even then it's mostly because they got there through anime (dubbed, so not even with subs) first. Kids don't read half as often as we did twenty years ago, and teachers get the blame for trying to push some sense in them through lecture.

Luigi / Duck Hunt. What the hell does that mean?

the fact that "80% of Turkish people use it for pure Turkish symbol", when it is clearly associated with a paramilitary fascist group, should really make you think about why Turkey isn't looked upon nicely by the EU in general. And I'm frankly surprised that even as a "non right wing Turkish", you still think it's fine to use the symbols that are now widely associated with that political group. I can't think of a world where I, an Italian, would use the Roman salute because it's a "patriotic" salute and because "everyone does it here" (even if a large majority of Italians don't, thank god).

could be a whole lot of reasons: he's still the symbol of this Portugal team, after all. He must have a say in the locker rooms (and why shouldn't he, considering); Martinez must think of him as the glue that keeps the squad together (same reason why he must have brought Pepe along, probably). And yeah, probably sponsors too.

taught me once and for all that while death might be always near, a fear that's constantly devouring our lives and paralysing them to the point where it feels like our deepest, inner self is a husk shell of what we once were, we can still find the reason of our existence in the joys of living a life that's devoted in equal part to mystery, sensuality, knowledge and wonder. And it says this in the most democratic way you could think: everyone is entitled and deserving of the complexity of life. Oh, and also: it's an absolutely hilarious book to read through.

never found Joyce to be pretentious (the man knew what he was doing, and definitely succeeded in doing so) or obtuse (I mean, how many writers you can think of that could pull out the mastery of language and human sensibility out of nowhere like he does). I might be biased because I believe Ulysses saved my life: it's definitely one of the funniest, most touching, humane books I have ever had the pleasure to read. I'd push Ogre to keep up with the good work.

This shit ass site proposes a paying plan for downloading student notes and I'm so fucking tired at the idea that they basically got a monopoly on it. How can I download the docs?

I have been using Koler for a while, but my experience with it has been very buggy and confusing. Is there any alternative other than waiting for Fossify's Dialer?

D looks like this tournament's group of death, but other than that I don't see very difficult rounds.

Speaking as a total ignorant from a coding perspective. But I guess that wouldn't be the hard part, considering that most of Duolinguo is just boxes and text inputs. How difficult it is to create a database of competent linguists with an efficient training who can progressively enhance your understanding of languages?

And most importantly, what do you think about it? I think it's quite bad except for a few nice details and while being definitely shorter it also feels like it's missing some of the features that make OP such a quintessential read. Nonetheless, still amusing lol

As per title. New releases especially are quite hard to find on other clients or p2p resources; what's the best way to get them from the source so that I can share them back?

Long story short: I am absolutely inexperienced with Linux distros but made the switch from Windows a bit more than a year ago. Right now, everyone's talking about Baldur's Gate 3, including a lot of the podcasts and shows I follow: since I never experienced the OG games, I wanted to try them out. They were on sale on GOG, and I had previously set up Lutris so that it interfaced directly with it. But the game refuses to start. Every installation method I tried has miserably failed at some point or another, and when it didn't, the game just won't boot up (either in Lutris or out of it). I'm out of options and I have asked for a refund. Is the situation with the Steam versions any different?Am I missing something? Help!

Please stop me if this is not the appropriate place to speak of issues like this one.

I believe an introduction is due. I have been a Ubuntu user for a little more than a year now and while the whole ecosystem is fantastic and smooth to use, it boggles me that there's still no app that can match the versatility and easiness in use that Musicbee provides. Strawberry pales in comparison, foobar2000 is clunky and clumsy, Rhythmbox is really without any option for control over your library... Even Tauon (the most complete music player I have found so far) becomes overly, uselessly complex in certain moments. What's your take on this issue? What do you use for browsing, editing and playing your music collection? Is there any way we'll ever see something like Musicbee on Linux distros?

It's possible that Di María will return to Benfica on a free transfer. The 35-year old winger scored 8 goals last season in 36 matches between Serie A, Champions League and Europa League.
