Hi there - I'm fairly certain I've tried this but it doesn't give the desired visual feedback you get with multi-cursors or in the example I'm showing.
I actually like sublime but the lack of virtual space for block selection (for a paid editor) moved out way down the list for me.
The plugins feel a bit janky and sparse too.l and the ecosystem feels a bit deserted.
Unfortunately no luck here. Same issue even when setting --unshare-all flag. I suspect I need to try a different approach.
My concern (back then) with keeping the greens spun up would be that I'd lose the energy savings potential of them without the benefits of a purpose built NAS drive.
In my current NAS, I just have a pair of WD Red+. I don't have a NVME cache or anything but it's never been an issue given my limited needs.
I am starting to plan out my next NAS though, as the current on (Synology DS716+) has been running for a long time. I figure I can get a couple more years out of it, but I want to have something in the wings planned just in case. (seriously looking at a switch to TrueNas but grappling with price for HW vs appliance...). My hope is that SSDs drop on price enough to make the leap when the time comes.
Much obliged!
I actually want to give kdenlive another shot. But since I already figured out the keyframe mechanics in shotcut it was a too tall an order to relearn a new WY to do it in short order (clock was ticking for me to get a video done for a kid's b-day!)
Reddit made it pretty easy to stop - their app is so bad I just don't bother logging in much.
I still check in a bit as I have a few open dialogues going but I don't browse it anymore.
Twitter is harder - too many people I follow.
What's the best practice for deleting a post? It was in error - just don't know a way to delete it.
Hmmn. Not a bad idea. Wonder if there's a way to automatically unblock via api..?. Honestly I can see this as more of a client-side thing. Hoping some improved client apps come along - not a knock on what there is now, but more options will drive progress as it should.
It will go bad. For my own part, I will not buy a car without AA/Carplay. The whole benefit of AA/Carplay is that I can take my infotainment with me and share a car or two without having to mess around with more logins/security etc. Especially with an inferior interface...
I'm about to try Ubuntu again.
I switched to Fedora for a few months, and really prefer it over Ubuntu . Clean Gnome. dnf is great. Useful COPRs. It just makes sense. But in my Sisyphian attempts to switch to Linux as my platform for music production (with my existing paid vsts and sound libraries), I hit one brick wall too many. Things that worked no longer work. Things that I could never get to work remain unworking.
So, going to try Ubuntu. I dislike snaps. I dislike the twisted Gnome UI. I will say the Ubuntu fonts are nice though (I actually imported them into Fedora..)
The further I stray from a default install, the harder it is to maintain going forward. Fingers crossed for Ubuntu.
