No, you are missing the entire point of three branches of government. They are there as a check and balance of power to the others. They are literally supposed to stop the other branches from overstepping.

I don't think this is really about censorship. You can say and advertise whatever you want, but after this if it can be proven false you have to pay the price. All it does is make people double check their facts and figures before they go shooting off random falsehoods.

This isn't a union leader problem. On the contrary, quite a few unions are close to 50% conservative voters. The leaders recognize this and are representing their membership by not endorsing either candidate. Not a good thing in my opinion but a fact right now. The trades are often filled with folks who don't pay the most attention to politics even if it should matter to them. They hear tax cut and that motivates more than anything.
