Wait so you can get married under the age of consent? That seems completely illogical... if you can't consent to sex surely you can't consent to marriage?
Absolutely, long-term it's a fantastic investment. Hopefully the government stays committed and keeps funding its education in order to raise the quality. Getting so many more kids going to school is a great step in that process.
That face... smirking like it's better than us. Beautiful bastard.
Bullshit penalty, I think we can all agree on that.
Not like the Netherlands deserved to win, they played quite badly. Just feels bad to go out like this. I didn't watch every game but this referee was the worst I've seen all tournament.
Really missed frenkie de jong and I'm disappointed Koeman didn't put on van de Ven or Frimpong.
Rooting for Spain in the final. Lesser of two evils but they play much better football and have a far more likeable team (and country).
This is good news. Not because the super league is a food idea, but UEFA should definitely not have a monopoly on football in Europe.
UEFA has created a system that is inherently unfair and functions purely to make money. In practice it means that a group of extremely wealthy and popular clubs from big countries are made to play as many games as possible while UEFA and the owners of those clubs make obscene amounts of money. The super league is an idea by some clubs so keep even more money, but UEFA is essentially doing the same just with slightly more clubs.
For the vast majority of clubs, fans, and let's not forget players, this system does not work. The problem is that UEFA and large clubs have a lot of power, influence and money.
Fuck UEFA so hard. I hope the whole organization can be replaced by something more equal and equitable. The super league isn't the answer to the problems of modern football, but UEFA isn't either.
Just ban all gambling ads, everywhere. People's lives are ruined by it. Can't advertise cigarettes either. Can't have alcohol products as ads on shirts. There's precedent for this.
Politically also a non-brainer, right? I would think the vast majority of voters would be in favour of higher wages for teachers. All over the world teachers don't get paid enough and I don't understand what the objections are to paying them more. Sure it costs money, but a highly educated new generation will pay that back manifold. Not to mention it's obviously the right thing to do to pay people a decent wage.
What a guy. And how amazing for these under 18s who are gonna be trained by him. Even if it's a short period, it can be an inspiring experience.
And what sport?
Edit: football nvm
/r/soccerstreams was the best of times. I mostly watch Dutch football which has way fewer streams than the big European leagues. Since /r/soccerstreams closed I haven't been able to find streams nearly as easily.
Where I'm from a 36 hour work week is the norm. I work 4 × 9 hours and have every Wednesday off (plus I have like 9 weeks off every year). Some colleagues do work 40 hours a week and then save a day off every two weeks. A friend does this and he takes one fairly long holiday (like a month) and also a week or two off every two months or something.
And you can also take a sabbatical and be guaranteed of your job when you get back. A guy I know from another department took a year off to take a trip around the world with his girlfriend.
