Yeah, it's pretty unfortunate how much we've convinced ourselves to ignore reality when it doesn't align with our ideals.

It'll be funny when undead are removed from the original version of WoW.

A very rational thing to do.

Chrome's ubiquity is bad for browsers.

I'm glad I switched back to Firefox after learning that Google removed AdNauseam from their addon store. It's an app that clicks ads in addition to blocking them. It wasn't breaking any rules, but google removed it and since there wasn't sufficient backlash it was never restored.

That kind of scummy behavior should never be rewarded with continued patronage.

Trust me, the closer you get to the linux community, the more you'll realize that the "elitists" are just a small and abrasive minority.

They're not even enthusiasts; they're just trolls trying to send others down bad paths.

Free software is for everyone. Not just nerds who know how to tinker.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mozilla_Public_License

Mozilla can't stop people from modifying or distributing firefox without changing its license.

If they do change the license, then all the versions up to that point will still be fair game for modification and redistribution.

This is part of why copyleft is so important. Relying on proprietary software means there's nothing we can do if the "owner" decides to change course.

If people really care about protecting the children, we can always raise taxes on the wealthy/cut military spending to fund new task forces to combat the production and spread of child pornography!

Heck, the money spent on this lawsuit could be spent catching people producing CSAM instead.

I never tip. Tipping culture should die.

I heard half life alyx was pretty good. I also heard rumors that they're making a TF2 successor. Also, didn't a new counter-strike just come out?

Still, you have a point. Artifact was a disgusting trend-chasing cashgrab. They still haven't commented on Half life 3, which is despicable behavior imo.

“because to live where your company is you need to be paid $200K/year”

How do people live in these areas without making $200k/year?

Thanks for sharing this.

Not sure why news articles never include the footage that they're reporting on.

Doesn't surprise me.

The art "community" is full of assholes just sucking off those who have wealth.

If this guy cashed out without buying in, that wouldn't be good for the people profiting off of art and the useful idiots gawking at it.
