A very rational thing to do.

Have we bred self-control out of the populace or something?

Trust me, the closer you get to the linux community, the more you'll realize that the "elitists" are just a small and abrasive minority.

They're not even enthusiasts; they're just trolls trying to send others down bad paths.

Free software is for everyone. Not just nerds who know how to tinker.

It's all connected.

It's true what they've been saying for decades: the american working class has sold itself out and the only people who were smart enough to realize it were vilified.

Kind of reminds me of how difficult it was to convince people that global warming is the result of humans burning fossil fuels.

If people really care about protecting the children, we can always raise taxes on the wealthy/cut military spending to fund new task forces to combat the production and spread of child pornography!

Heck, the money spent on this lawsuit could be spent catching people producing CSAM instead.

That blows.

Undone, it's created by the same guy who made Bojack Horseman.

I think most people haven't seen/heard of it because it's an amazon streaming exclusive, but you can watch it (and most other things) for free here: https://hydrahd.com/

everyone whose data this was trained on should be included as authors if its not just public domain

Weird how we make this rule only apply to computers.

I doubt any human artist would make the exact same works as they have if they were not influenced by the art that they were.

Copyright and patent laws should die altogether.

I heard half life alyx was pretty good. I also heard rumors that they're making a TF2 successor. Also, didn't a new counter-strike just come out?

Still, you have a point. Artifact was a disgusting trend-chasing cashgrab. They still haven't commented on Half life 3, which is despicable behavior imo.

No. Most sites don't offer their own ways to download videos.

If you want to save videos, you can always use a browser addon. I use VideoDownloadHelper for Firefox and it allows me to download any video, even on Linux.
