I stongly believe most criminals become violent because they don't care about the damage they cause others and only focus on what benefits themselves.

Mexico has a gang culture that it needs to grow up from.

Do NOT reward gang members.

Do NOT accept them in to your social circles.

And above all, DO NOT HAVE SEX WITH THEM!

Once enough people do that, gang members will have no choice but to change.

I've never heard of volunteer police like this and they shouldn't have jurisdiction over actual police.

Can I just say something? I personally view (almost) anything that involves editing configuration files by hand as an opportunity for the Linux community to implement a GUI.

Surprised we don't see more fragging in Russia.

My brother had to be convinced to get the vaccine.

He's legitimately removed (I'm trying to say "re-tar-ded", but apparently it automatically saying "removed." Seriously? We're not allowed to say "re-tar-ded", a completely accurate medical term?) and had to go to a special school because of it.

I think a lot of conservatives fall into this camp, but don't realize it because of how poor social programs are in red states.

Seriously. People need to realize they should have a need before a product, not the other way around.

"Hit or miss" is unfortunately not good enough for consumer electronics.

It means you're essentially gambling with bad odds so the business you're giving money to can get away with cutting corners.

The people who do the hiring are part of a business' expenses, not its profit.

They will still be doing their job like they normally do.

I assume a company that is allowed to have profit will be able to offer higher wages to be competitive

Where do they get that money? By charging you and I more than what a product costs to produce and bring to market. If people had higher standards (which they don't), then they would go to the business that gives them the best deal.

Right now we live in a culture where people are proud to spend more money even if it's for a worse product. Everything is backwards regarding personal financial responsibility which is why there is so much excess yet most people still think they "need" more money.

has continuously abused this authority to push his decisions, and to block decisions that he doesn’t like

Hmm. I've seen this before. It looks like the "sensationalist" crowd has issues with people who don't go along with their sensationalism.

I'm not a Nix expert nor do I know the inner-workings of its management. I've just seen this so many times that I don't expect more from people at this point.

It sucks when idiots group together to push smart people into doing their bidding. I respect those who resist it, though.

Hoping to switch to Guix someday, but we'll see.
