I totally agree. It's actually difficult for my brain to process all that detail. Part of it may be due to me being raised with ps1/ps2 graphics.

I don't really think it should be "worse" or specifically low-poly. There is a balance that can be struck and I feel that accepting the lowest quality possible is an excuse for developers to put in as little work as possible while still charging us as much as possible.

Maybe it's just me... but history has shown that the replacements for these despots tend to be worse.

I shudder to think who is going to try to trump Trump.

So sad being born north korean.

Just a life of suffering and servitude because you're surrounded by people who have been bred to be docile.

Might just be me, but I see smartphones as one of the most powerful devices on the planet.

There needs to be a cultural change for change to happen.

Until that cultural shift occurs, voting really is just a waste of time.

Although you would have a point if more people were actually interested in solving problems facing the working class. Too many of them are divided on gridlock issues that exist to distract them from how they're being exploited.

if it ever becomes more popular the same assholes that ruin other online experiences will also wind up here.

That's kind of the glory of the fediverse, though. We can have communities using the same protocol that never interact with each other.

There can be completely separate fediverses that cater to different people.
